I was wondering today whether GPs see other GPs if they are ill? Can anyone tell me? I'm assuming yes as they wouldn't be allowed to prescribe medications for themselves?

What other random things have you always wondered/wanted to know?

Why SILs DM introduced my husband to the priest who was going to be officiating at her (SILs) wedding "And here is XX, the brother she should be marrying"

Nobody said a bloody word, my jaw dropped, the priest blushed!!!

But that's probably not the kind of thing you meant grin

What happens to second class post? Is it separated from the first class post and then just sits there for an extra day waiting to be sorted and posted?

PurleaseSqueeze Mon 19-Apr-21 17:27:58

Okay so we just need a GP, postman/woman and @CuriousaboutSamphire 's SILS DM to join the thread to answer our questions and we can rest easy 🤣

Not a GP but I know that doctors are prohibited from prescribing for themselves and people with whom they have a close personal relationship unless in an emergency. So I presume they do need to see another doctor if they need something.

When singers record music videos, do they sing or lip sync

Thank you! That makes sense smile

I wonder what would happen if you were a GP who saw another GP and you disagreed with their diagnosis 🤔

An ex of mine from years ago was at the same school his mum taught at. I can't remember now whether I ever asked him but I wonder now in that situation, would the child have to call them Miss X or could they say Mum? I'd find it really weird having my Mum as my teacher I think.

Talking of films, why don't they use the eagles to fly to Mordor in LOTR?

Rules of rugby.

Pass it backwards, kick it forwards.
Kick it over the cross bar = drop goal = 3 points. May also be awarded as a penalty.
"touchdown" over the line = try = 5 points
Kick it over the cross bar following a try = conversion = 2 points
The rest is just wrestling I think.

When you give birth how quickly does your cervix close back to normal...it can take hours to dilate so does it take the same amount of time?
Any midwives on here know the answer?

@PurleaseSqueeze

1. Saurons forces would have seen them, they're massive.

2. They arent the slaves of humans. They want humans to do things themselves

3. The best way was stealth

4. The eagles were powerful, the ring could have corrupted them

I read a funny article about your opening question.

A doctor was married to a doctor. One was pregnant and developed severe abdominal pain and thought it was appendicitis. Her Dr husband agreed and they called a different GP at the practice who wasn’t sure but decided on balance that two GPS were probably not wrong so referred to surgeon didn’t question the judgment and removed her perfectly healthy appendix.

So they do seek advice but I expect they aren’t questioned much beyond their own opinions of their diagnosis.

This is pure conjecture.

Also how on earth cameras work. You can click a button and see a moment in time exactly as it was. Fascinating.

I think GPs have to register at a different practice to their own.

I've taught colleagues children more than once. They had to call their parents Mr or Mrs in school.

1. How do women with really long fingernails put in/take out their tampons? Don’t the long nails make it really awkward?

2. If you’re injured/unwell and unconscious and you wear contact lenses do the A&E check whether you’ve got lenses in and take them out?
