Am I wealthy/ rich?

I am really struggling with understanding what is wealthy or rich and where I am in the population. And this obviously isn’t something that is discussed with friends. I want to start this thread by saying I know I am extremely lucky and I do not want to goad anyone- I am just interested in perspectives of ‘ financially wealthy’! For some people financially wealthy is crazy amounts of money that I could never dream of, and for others financially wealthy is just earning more than national average. My household (me, DH, 2 kids) has: - £800,000 house (with £450,000 mortgage) - £50,000 in savings - household income pre tax of £120,000 - average car - no debts apart from mortgage and small amounts of student loans. Is this wealthy? Or is it pretty average middle class? We are early 30s if that changes anything! YABU- this is not wealthy YANBU- this is wealthy
