I'm watching. The rich family are clearly critical of the choices the 'poor' family make. "They've got three big TV's."

I think she is but he isn't.
I guess rich is comparative....

I wasn’t sure whose house was the rich one at first. Pretty basic new build on an estate.

Also thinking the same too. Usually the houses are far more impressive but they do have a good bit of disposable income, I suppose?

mum2jakie Sun 07-Mar-21 21:39:31

It's not as grand as some properties in previous episodes.

The 'poor house' is pretty nice too! Their bathroom looks lovely - wish ours looked like that!

I am thinking the rich couple aren't actually "rich" as such, it's family money from the family business, and bloke has been graciously "allowed to join the firm" because the woman wanted to marry him. Her Dad is the boss
They just want to be on telly, advertise their business a bit, and probably be benevolent at the end.
Poor couple live WAY beyond their means, no wonder they're in £30k of debt!

BTV2000 Sun 07-Mar-21 21:44:33

I said the same 🤣 looks like they literally chose the 'options' presented to them by a sales office before you move in to a new build... Especially those brown whatever they were (cupboards or bathroom tiles, can't remember!) Surely with all that money you'd build/buy the shell of the house and choose something a bit nicer? Each to their own 🤔

I really hate when the poor family just spend all the budget on themselves and no thought for the kids.. The woman in the poor family is really getting on my nerves.

We were approached to be the “rich” house... we live in a 3 bed house of average cost in the city we live in!! At first we thought we would be the poor house!

Pebbledashery Sun 07-Mar-21 21:48:45

The bloke in the rich couple.. I couldn't respect a man like that.

Pebbledashery Sun 07-Mar-21 21:49:53

I hope the rich couple don't end up paying the poor couples debts either.

tiredmum2468 Sun 07-Mar-21 21:51:15

@Pebbledashery

I agree where are the treats for the kids

The poor family are poor because they don't budget what they have he'll be entitled to working family tax credit, all sorts they're irresponsible

Pebbledashery Sun 07-Mar-21 21:52:41

@tiredmum2468 I know. Not one treat for their daughters other than the soft play trip.

tiredmum2468 Sun 07-Mar-21 21:52:51

The guy from the poor family needs to man up and support his family

I agree I hope the rich family don't bail them out

Sfuandtired Sun 07-Mar-21 21:53:22

Why are the houses that the rich mans business partner is showing the poor man around nicer that the one the rich man actually lives in!?

Rich guy is thinking... I'm going to bleach that suit jacket now

Pebbledashery Sun 07-Mar-21 21:54:56

They'll just get smashed on their trip to Croatia 😂

PomBearWithoutHerOFRS Sun 07-Mar-21 21:55:42

"Personal development retreat"??? What? They kept that quiet!
This is the worst episode ever confused

tiredmum2468 Sun 07-Mar-21 21:56:24

I agree

Pebbledashery Sun 07-Mar-21 21:56:58

I concur

tiredmum2468 Sun 07-Mar-21 21:57:08

Cringeworthy!

Oh the way I saw it was that whatever they have goes on the DC as it is, so they spent the extras on this occasion on themselves. And I like the lady from the poor house as she isn't sorry for herself; it must be very scary living with epilepsy and not being able to be out on your own.

Something a bit off with the rich couple I thought. The wife was pretty tough. (Wonder what the guy's own family thought of him giving up his surname?)

Much preferred the poor couple! Glad he found a good job in the end.

Not so much as a Lego set for the kids .... Really?
