Mine are:

Being exceptionally good at slicing bread (straight, even slices every time, even on squishy, unevenly shaped loaves)

Uncannily accurate at guessing the time when I haven’t looked at a clock for hours - I’m never more than a few minutes out.

Tell me the things you can do that are not that impressive!

"Uncannily accurate at guessing the time when I haven’t looked at a clock for hours - I’m never more than a few minutes out." Omg, omg, omg me too! My mum has this ability too! I think there's a secret magical society of us!!! My husband gets annoyed that I go on about my "power" so much 🤣🤣🤣

Oh, and I can see spelling/punctuation errors in a page of text without reading it — they kind of stand out, as though they're in an almost-imperceptibly different colour.

Re-hanging the clocks on the wall when we've changed the time.

Heh. This. It's a blessing and a curse

I can read a book/look at my phone for hours as a passenger in a car and not get sick

WineInTheWillows Fri 05-Mar-21 20:25:39

I go to ask Alexa how much time is left in the timer and she says ten seconds most times, even though I'm not clock watching.

I can link any lesson context to the national curriculum.

I can memorise children's books and poems after a couple of run throughs so have a mental library of stories the DC can request on car journeys etc.

I am also good at tetris and at instantly spotting spelling/grammar mistakes. Maybe they're connected....🧐

Clock in the head is like Jack Reacher and is cool.

AlwaysLatte Fri 05-Mar-21 20:26:37

AdaFuckingShelby Fri 05-Mar-21 20:26:40

LakieLady Fri 05-Mar-21 20:26:42

I make fantastic scrambled eggs, and am very good at map reading.

Unanananana Fri 05-Mar-21 20:26:44

I can read very, very fast and take in every word.

JeremyIronsBenFolds Fri 05-Mar-21 20:26:51

I’m very good at navigating my way around strange places - I’m especially good at casinos in Las Vegas, which are designed to fool you grin.

VienneseWhirligig Fri 05-Mar-21 20:27:07

I can wake up two minutes before the time the alarm is set, even if it's a different time each day.

Mrsmorton Fri 05-Mar-21 20:27:25

Same here. In fact it’s my job grin

I am another a magical clockless time-teller. Daylight savings always stuffs me up for a week or so.

I cannot cut straight slices of bread or cheese for the life of me!!! V impressive OP. I also can’t walk in a straight line without crashing into the person I’m walking with blush

I always used to be great at taking the VCR off fast forward right at the end of the ads grin

Weirdly, my two are exactly the same as yours shock How odd is that?

Mysteriousmysteries Fri 05-Mar-21 20:28:46

I can do the time thing too, plus I'm extremely skilled in untangling jewellery quickly and without damage. Can also remember numberplates and postcodes after one run through, as well as how you take your tea. So useful.

Mummadeze Fri 05-Mar-21 20:28:53

I mentally calculate my shopping bill as I place everything on the conveyor belt and usually get it right within a few pence. It always makes me feel ridiculously proud but I have never told anyone before!

Wbeezer Fri 05-Mar-21 20:29:20

I'm very accurate when measuring ingredients by eye when baking when i slice a chunk of butter off the block it's often spot on for weight. Q

Chicchicchicchiclana Fri 05-Mar-21 20:29:54
