AIBU?

It's happened....

AIBU to tell you that I have received a hun text from a friend I see sporadically, inviting me to join a Facebook Live or Zoom to find out about her exciting and amazing new business venture? She's earning more than her full time job role, can work around the kids and is #living her best life. It's something to do with aloe vera.

It's an attempted MLM ambush isn't it? I've not replied yet.

Don't engage, the ones I know are like vultures once they latch.

Let's see, Aloe Vera...

Yup, MUST be the next big thing, massive profits surely. You can't fail.

Go for it.

Tell her you're not interested. Nip this shit in the bud straight away. Be as harsh as your friendship will stand.

Ooh I've got an aloe vera. Is it worth £££?

Say you’re allergic to aloe Vera

Aloe vera... Must be Forever Living?

I hate seeing posts on social media by people saying "Want to work around your kids and still earn a full-time wage? Message me!" and you just know it's an MLM and I want to write on every single one - DON'T DO IT! They're so shady, never writing who they are selling for.

I'm an actual small business owner and it infuriates me!

@mnahmnah and don't forget to add 'hun' at the end Grin

Tell her you know it's amazing, your mum/sister/cousin does it too. Grin

@mnahmnah

Say you’re allergic to aloe Vera

Don’t do that!

She’ll have a product to cure the allergy.

I wish I could do this to my MLM spammer but I'm scared she will then ambush me in real life and tell me how unsupportive I am.

I'd be running for the hills in my head whilst adding a bottle of something nice to my shopping list and pressing accept.

Not too much wine though as you don't actually want to get sucked in - just judge them for how sucked in they are BlushGrin

Beware of the body shop happy birthday messages directly to your fb messenger! I had a few last week, thankfully the first was from someone I've not spoken to in years (now deleted) and is prolific for MLM so I knew to ignore the rest of the huns.

I had one from a relative. I unfriended before it became a regular thing.

Relative's daughter was doing all this for a little while. I found out she had ' supply problems' during lockdown 1 and is now doing something else.
Obviously discovered it was hard work for little return I would imagine.
Not many end up earning millions :(
