It took me several reads of that sentence to understand it. Grin

Walking shoes. Not boots. Shoes.

Midway between a boot and a trainer. Seems to have no practical function... Except they're so comfy!

I don’t own, but along a similar vein I used to tell my mum her 60s sideboard was hideously ugly and out of date and she should replace it. Likewise the built in wooden kitchen cupboards.

Now I think they are high quality retro chic and am envious!

This. My parents’ 160s Errol has pride of place in my house.

My DF still has the GPlan furniture they bought way back when - I think it's now called 'mid-century'.

Jumpers that I wear as a top in its own right with just a vest underneath, instead of one that I’ve layered over a short sleeved top and can take off.

Does a national trust membership count? I thought that was the epitome of being old and boring when I was a teen and now here I am with one

Wearing slippers around the house

Yes to this!! I even found myself getting irritated by the scuffing noise my slippers were making on the kitchen floor while I walked earlier just like I used to when mum wore them 😂

Slow cookers that MNers gush about make me laugh. My mother loved hers in the 1970s. Although she barely ever cooked.

sorry, I'm struggling to think of a single thing my mother had that I thought was naff then but now like loads. My mother loved her hot tub, too... I don't have one.

Yep. I’m 38 and my husband and I spend the weekends (pre all this COVID malarkey) driving out to national trust places with classic fm at a sensible volume on the stereo of our Volvo. If 15 year old me could see me she’d do me in with the secateurs I recently asked for as a birthday present.

I also own a jumper debobbler and a nest of tables
