So frustrated with all the people, from the ineffective and blustering MP to the idiots out trick or treating tonight............

When will people learn that a bloody pandemic cannot be ignored and that insisting on personal freedoms/ personal preferences is NOT going to shorten the lock downs or save the vulnerable ? Sad

What the selfish people who need to work to earn money to survive? Or those who actually want their kids to have a proper education?

Yes the Tories! Inept and no hint of an apology

I think you’ve got to remember masks are not 100% effective. So whilst your judging ‘idiots’ you could actually be spreading it yourself.

Nothing will stop this virus spreading. So stop blaming ‘other people’

Of course they haven't. It was inevitable and has happened even in highly compliant countries.

This isn't about the actions of a few. It is about how a virus moves through populations.

We need a different strategy.

Vast majority are following the rules it’s the idiots at top who don’t know their arse from their elbow.

The idiots who are responsible are in government.

I think it’s a shame that people are being coerced into blaming each other for this shitshow and turning on each other rather than directing their ire at the actual cause - the shower of bastards that is our government.

@ AppleKatie

I would argue that both contribute.

If individuals aren't following the rules e.g having bloody parties etc, then everyone suffers because if this. i.e Covid rates go up, therefore more restrictions are put on everyone. Sad

And if the government are ignoring the advice they receive from their experts, then the Covid rates increase because government failed to increase the restrictions as they were advised to. Sad

It's not the government so much as all the idiots what won't wear ( it worries me, i don't like the feel etc) and then there is the "no one will tell me what to do brigade who are in and out of each others houses all the time. Catching up with friends & the " I can see my family because...." Meet them for a walk it's good for you, better than sitting around and you aren't breathing the same air or touching each others furniture. I haven't had anyone in my house since march. I only meet family and friends for walks and bike rides.

School, college and universities are hotbeds of it.

Rates will be slower to reduce with secondary and older kids in school.

Ermm, not really sure what you even mean by that Hmm

I'm interested in others view of the impending new total lock down, and whether people think it's because of the government or the individuals who don't comply with the rules.....................

Our local spikes were caused by students, who were moving from all across the country into halls with lots of residents and communal facilities. This only happened because the universities need fees, and the students didn't have a choice, the only ones who did were the government sooooo...

Of course there are some wallies about, but most of the people catching and spreading the disease are normal, considerate people trying their best.

I'm so pissed off with hearing this. Its basic biology. Viruses spread. They dont think, they dont vote and dont care if your a good person or selfish. They want to replicate and that's the sum of it.

Someone picks their nose, puts there pin in a chip and pin and the person who gets it via that is a selfish arsehole because they needed to shop?

No. Go back and study GCSE biology.

No, the selfish people who insist on meeting up with groups of friends indoors; those not taking sensible precautions to avoid spreading the virus; etc.

If you are washing your hands, using sanitiser and masking up when required then at least you are "doing your bit". Its the non mask wearing dick head that wanted to sit next to me and my family on an almost empty train that annoys me.

You seem to be struggling with the concept of a virus. It spreads. That's what it does. Its spreading in workplaces, schools, buses, nurseries, care homes, hospitals. It's not all down to just people who dont follow the 'rules'. We have just been told to be annoyed at them rather than face the reality that it's going to keep spreading unless literally everyone sits in their sitting room, which is impossible.

Your attitude is akin to being annoyed at the fact that people have colds.

Well the idiots have had 8 months to
plan what to do
learn from the first wave
develop and use substantial expertise from the scientific community on what has and hasn't worked to control virus transmission
figure out how to effectively communicate public health campaigns
develop a robust testing system
use our island status to an advantage like Aus, Japan have done
listen to extensive advice about knock-on effects on the economy, education, health system etc.

And what have the idiots in government learned?

Fuck all, because they are arrogant, incompetent, dim and entitled. Direct your rage at them.
