If you don’t like bracelets then they’re not for you. Don’t see what the issue is really, each to their own and all that.

Not alone OP. I cannot see the attraction either, way too chunky in my opinion.

Ooh, it's been a while since I've seen a Pandora bracelet bashing thread. I'm sure you're not alone - there are lots of things I don't like that other people do, but can't really see the point in starting a thread about them. You'll get lots of people saying they're overpriced, chavvy shit, which makes people feel bad about theirs and wonder if people are judging them when they're wearing theirs. It's just not nice.

YANBU but this thread will soon be full of people saying that every charm they have on their bracelet is memorable and meaningful.

It always looks to me like a scheme for extracting money out of men who have no idea what to buy as a present. Oh it's Christmas, another charm on the bracelet, job done.

Life would be dull if we all liked the same stuff. Why would you be unreasonable for not liking something?

I find them quite dated now, but other than that I can't say I care much either way.

You don't like them that much you had to make a thread about it 🙄

Yanbu. I was shocked when DH bought one home for me, and remember thinking "well that's it now, he'll just be joining the queue of men in pandora each Mother's Day/Valentine's Day/Christmas buying another charm and putting no thought in to gifts".

Became really badly allergic to silver while pregnant with DS1 and can't wear it any more...such a shame. He now knows how much I dislike them.

Troll beads are beautiful and much more unique. Their unisex x style is really good with leather, copper, silver and gold combinations.

I don’t like them so wouldn’t buy one but others do so I leave them to enjoy it! Plus makes easy presents when you know people who love them / have one

I'm not mad keen on them either

I don't like them so won't buy one. Other people do like them so will. Like anything really. This is a strange thread.

I have one. I got it around 11 years ago. Used tonlove wearing it, but j think they are a bit outdated now.
Why would you be unreasonable for not liking them? I'm sure no one else cares if you have one, or like them Confused

Yes, it's just you. You are so much more discerning than everyone else. Well done.

Well yes, this is what I think of them. MIL and SIL like them and suggested to DH that they get me one so they can keep adding charms to it. DH politely steered them elsewhere and just said it wasn't my taste.

They are also weirdly pretentious in the shops. We were buying a charm for SIL for Xmas one year and the shop had one other person in. They made us queue outside and wait to be let in just so they could make themselves look popular and important. It was very silly.

I find them pretty "teenage" I'm quite surprised at how many adults have them

What were you expecting? What were you hoping to get out of the thread? Genuine question, even though I know it looks snarky.

I don't like them at all but it wouldn't do for us all to like the same things.

My friend says it saves her husband and kids thinking about what to buy her - until it's full.

I liked them to start with but they are a bit past it now. The go to gift for birthday and christmas. I think they have had their day and I find them very over priced for what they are.

It's just a strange thread. Some people like them, some don't. I don't wear bracelets so don't have one but can't say I have strong feelings either way.

Some people clearly love them and that's lovely for them. Some people don't like them and that's great too as they don't have to wear them. Same with all items of clothing, jewellery, makeup etc.

um,
not sure,
after seeing the advert and knowing of people who like them, i have not admitted outloud that i do not want one myself
i dont like chunky bracelets and find the cost of them unnecessary. and a charm for special occasions.. it is not something for me
i would rather have a necklace
that is my guilty secret.
i am not dissing anyone's taste

Me too. I was surprised to note how popular they were with middle aged women at work.

It seemed to be a badge of honour if their partner bought them a charm every birthday.
