Honestly, it's really starting to piss me off now! Every single morning i have to walk from Cannon Street to Liverpool Street and every single morning there's a different pile of puke along the way that i have to dodge. You'd think these stuck up suit-types would have more decorum, rather than be so disgusting as to be sick everywhere on the bloody streets!!! I would half expect it if it were a Sunday morning in my local town or summat, but this is the CITY, ffs!!

GGGRRR I so cannot wait to go on mat leave now.

You go past the Fuego's exit then, LOL.

I have noticed more technicolour yawns on the way to work, too.

oh god yes the city is full of puke leading up to xmas particularly

The only thing that tops it is the annual sloane vomit-fest in Putney (aka the Boat Race)

I don't really understand why vomiting in the streets is so tolerated. Firstly, why is it socially acceptable, when it isn't acceptable to leave steaming turds in the road? Secondly, bars that regularly produce drunk people who vomit everywhere should be prosecuted. It's usually pretty clear which bar is producing the problem, esp with cctv cameras around.

HD - Nah, i go past Bank and then via Threadneedle Street coz it's quicker than going past Monument!

alittleone2 - I know there's a mixed bag of people in London but i've found the rudest, non-handwashing-after-the-loo types to be those in suits.

CD - lol at vomit-fest!!

When I used to work in our nearest city, one early morning, a man dressed in a suit, was walking ahead of me when he fell to the ground. I rushed over thinking he had collapsed but he had slipped on a pile of puke!

I have never puked in a public place, and never get sick when drunk. So I can quite rightly join in this moan.

What's worse is when someone voms on the last train home...

Just wait a moment...

I had regular morning sickness which meant throwing up in the same place every morning on the way to work.

Perhaps it is pregnant women?

i vomited into the road, leaning over railing down london wall one morning - and had a policman stop and ask me if i was ok - i explained i was pregnant etc and he was lovely.

i never really used to see alot of vomit on my way in - maybe things have changed in a yr!

The vomit near where I used to live was definitely not pregnant women, because it was lurid colours like pink and neon blue - no wonder everyone was being sick.

Saffy - eeeewww!!!! That would have made me sick!!!!

alittleone2 - i thought as much! Glad you are the nicer type of suit tho.

HD - ugh, when i used to be working late or out for a swift vino after work i quite often would get on the train with all the pissheads. Once i was sitting a couple of rows back from this bloke who was sitting quietly then suddenly he puked all down the window and on the floor of the train and all over himself BIG time. He got off at the next stop lol. Another time i was sitting in front of a woman who was really really drunk. She sat there for a while and after talking to her DH/DP on the phone, proceeded to puke all over the floor in front of her (and behind me!). I got up and legged it to the next carriage after that, as did a few other people too. Yuk!!

Katy - It's deffo not pg women as the puke i see is also brightly coloured pink and blue. Yuk!!

ahhhh , yes, outside Fuegos is revolting. I left work at 11pm last night and popped into tescos - quite a few "tired and emotional" people holding onto walls and wondering where their wallets were. Smells disgusting round there

YANBU. That is foul!

I think they should be fined in exactly the way dog owners are (in theory) for leaving dog sh*t in the streets. Why should it be OK? Our cul-de-sac is just off the main route out of town, just after the takeaways. I can only assume that pissheads pop in for a kebab, find it's coming back up again and nip into the entrance to our street to leave it behind. Yeuchh!

YANBU. I walk from London Bridge to just off Bishopsgate every day and it is disgusting. I agree that it will only get worse now as we get closer to Christmas.

This thread has brought back memories of having to travel to work in November/December on trains (old slam door type) with vomit stuck to outside of the windows. Possibly from those who didn't have time to vomit in the street before their train left London the night before...

Complain to the Corporation (as I was).
I worked there and they seem to have more money than they know what to do with (compared to the other councils I worked for). I'm convinced they could stretch to a few more cleansing operatives or whatever the correct term is.

Are we going to do a City lunch before Xmas... as there seem to be so many of us around!
