AIBU?

To feel judgmental over actor Chris Pratt playing golf 4 days after his wife gave birth?

Obviously I'm BU in the sense it's none of my business but I'm a fan of his movies and this has kind of soured how I feel about him.

If I'd just had my first baby and my husband fucked off for a day of golf (it's not a short game is it?) I'd be devastated, even with all the help she's no doubt getting from family/staff etc.

Also can you just imagine if it had been the other way round and it had been Katherine who'd left her newborn for a day at the spa? The comments on her Instagram would be brutal. Barely an eyebrow raised on his...

Not sure how you weren’t soured about him before this - didn’t he leave his first wife as he found God? He has very “traditional” values.

DSD’s ‘D’H played golf the day after she came home following an EMCS. In fact he used up his Paternity Leave to improve his handicap and catch up with friends .

18 holes for an amateur is four, maybe four and a half hours. You seriously couldn't cope without your husband between breakfast and lunch?

They probably have a nanny helping out to be fair 🤷‍♀️ im sure she isn't struggling on her own

Yep, he's a pratt.

Barely an eyebrow raised because it isn't worth the effort. Who really cares?

I'm sure she has plenty of professional help and maybe family staying as well

The nanny probably kicked him out from under her feet

Are you kidding?

I loved being alone with my newborns. Having DH sod off and leave me alone for a day would have been heaven!

It's a baby. Women worldwide have them every second of every day. They really arent that hard Confused

My dh went back to work a few days after I had ds1. Not quite the same thing , but if his wife was ok about it all then I can't see a big problem with this. If she wasn't happy and he still went then that would be different I suppose? Maybe she wanted a day on her own or with her mum or something? I know I'm strange , but I coped better on my own with the baby in the early days than when he was about fussing around me but then I didn't have any family to help or anything so I did have to get on with it. I'm sure they might have a nanny! Everyone is different.

Can't really judge as I encouraged my dh to have a round about 7 days after ds2 and I don't have help. Really was not bothered about him being gone for 4 hours. Especially as in my experience newborns sleep a lot.

Meh. No idea what is going on with them so cannot say. Maybe Katherine is visiting her parents and Pratt would have been at home alone or million other options. Maybe Katherine is suffering and crying at home alone and Pratt doesn't give a fuck But based on this information I don't have an opinion.

There's quite a few things that 'soured' my view of him (as much as any celeb could, not really into following pop culture outside watching films). I'm not sure this is one of them.

@Namechangr9000 you do realise now that he was having an affair don’t you?

Really don't see the problem with it, I'm sure mum coped just fine with the baby for a few hours and if she didn't then that's what they pay staff for. Agree with everything @NotYourHolidayDick said.

This. Plus she'll have nannies.

It's a but wanky but they probably have a nanny, cleaner and housekeeper. She's not on her own dealing with a baby, tidying up and making a shopping list.

With dc2, my dh didn't qualify for paternity leave. He had one day off and then went back to work. I didn't have any family to help either. Personally I find newborns easy to look after.

I'm probably being biased here but anything Chris Pratt does is unreasonable in my eyes as he is the absolute worst.

The way he treats his pets tells me all I need to about the bloke.

Her whole family seem really close and live in California. Maybe they are with her. Maybe they have a doula. Maybe his mum is with her.

Or maybe you are a golf widow and have a bit of residual trauma. This feels a weird reason to not like him.

Yeah the way it ended with Anna Farris didn't seem great. I've given him the benefit of the doubt before but he certainly comes across as regressive.

Jurassic World really annoyed me as well with the redhead running round in heels and a perfect bob for most of the film.
