Returning tesco food

I had tesco delivery on monday late evening just gone to Cook tea pork chops and rocket for salad The rocket has best before of monday and the pork chops us by yesterday So rocket arrived day it needed using and the chops admittedly had one day As was delivered late monday i didn't check all dates when putting away which is my fault , but they guarantee min of 2 days Is it unreasonable of me to return food to store for them to dispose off ? They have refunded online but will sot in my bin fir couple weeks as we are away the rocket i dont mind but chops i would have issue with Plus im wary of even opening the chops to chuck in food waste as they are out of date
