Thought it was time for another try at recognising these images and catching some child rapists.

They specifically want to trace their origin (location/country). You can help by clicking on an object you recognise and providing Europol with the information you have on the object. This can be done anonymously.

The images are safe to click on (all identifying bits have been taken out), but still may be triggering for some.

These images are always so sad. Hope they catch the fuckers.

Picture 5, the bottle at the front looks like Child’s Farm watermelon and organic pineapple.

AudacityOfHope Mon 06-Jul-20 13:29:20

I don't recognise anything, but bumping this for those who might.

Thesuzle Mon 06-Jul-20 13:30:17

The picture quality is very poor or it might just be me and the iPad, sorry nothing looks familiar

picklemewalnuts Mon 06-Jul-20 13:36:04

I've responded to one. Perhaps it will help. I'm so glad people are doing this work and trying to help children.

So heartbreaking

I spotted something in the first set of pictures they released, it was something very specific that I was able to give quite detailed information on because it was a promotional item that we gave out through work in 1998/99. Thanks for the reminder to look again OP. It's not easy to look at but anything anyone can do to help is so important

Worriedmum96458 Mon 06-Jul-20 14:23:27

Bumping again

Mydiary Mon 06-Jul-20 14:27:38

I wish I did. You know why I say that sad

KitMarlowesCodpieceOfThigh Mon 06-Jul-20 14:29:45

How often are new pictures released?

BertieBotts Mon 06-Jul-20 14:31:02

Wow Mrs Ronald - hats brilliant. How many people would know something like that? That could really help an investigation smile

ConcreteUnderpants Mon 06-Jul-20 14:40:57

MrsRonaldUlyssesSwanson Brilliant! That’s the kind of information that can really help narrow investigations down.
So much resources here on MN so hopefully something else like that will happen. Anything to catch these evil bastards.

I find them really difficult to make up. They are so zoomed in or blurred. I did manage to recognise one (99.9% sure and sent it in) once, though so it's not impossible.

Send it in. You don't have to leave your name.

BertieBotts Mon 06-Jul-20 17:34:28

Yes they will be very poor /blurred /hard to make out. That's why you will only know it if you're familiar with the object.

I think it's an incredibly clever idea.

lymphopenia Mon 06-Jul-20 17:39:42

Thanks for posting this again. Incredibly sad but so so important

thatcarolebaskinbitch Mon 06-Jul-20 17:46:29

Sadly I don't recognise anything this time but thanks for posting OP it's such important work.

Karenista Mon 06-Jul-20 18:07:45

Can someone explain this to me please? What is the link, it’s it just pictures of products?

ItWorriesMeThisKindofThing Mon 06-Jul-20 18:11:46

I had no idea about this, thanks for sharing. Sadly I don’t recognise anything but now I know to check back another time.

ItWorriesMeThisKindofThing Mon 06-Jul-20 18:12:23

Yes, karenista pictures of products or items of clothing, no people

They re completely safe excerpts from child abuse images - in this case they are items which were also in the photos. Identifying what/where these are from can help track down the people creating the images.

PegasusReturns Mon 06-Jul-20 18:15:35

@Karenista

The pictures show items of clothing/locations/other items that have been cropped from images of CSA. There is nothing that would identify what is happening in the pictures.

Europol are often trying to identify, from pictures shared online, where the child is from/where the abuse took place. Identifying background objects from images assists.

Lifeisconfusing Mon 06-Jul-20 18:37:06

Heartbreaking I don’t know how the people manage to view these images/videos as a job! I think I’d be permanently angry and the images would never leave your head!! Does anyone on here do this job? Or know someone who does!?

GenuineKlatchianPottery Mon 06-Jul-20 18:56:56

@BertieBotts I sent it before I replied on here. I only posted here in case anyone else recognised it as well.
