Bought a beautiful hand painted ceramic fruit bowl. Absolutely loved it. Dropped it taking out of the car when I got home. It hit a stone and broke 😭

New boots. £150 reduced to £50, my sale bargain. Put them on the first time and stupidly decided to clean something. Later that day noticed I had dropped bleach on them. Felt like such a twat.

Yes!!! A huge glass ornamental rabbit.
Was bubble wrapped, and laid on a blanket in back of car on journey home.
Drove at 15mph, back safe thank god.
As I got it out i crunched it's ears off when I closed the car door.
I can almost laugh now but at the time I cried real tears all day.

Not ruined, but bought lovely clothes from Topshop with my Saturday job money when I was 16 and left them on the bus.

Waited at bus top for hours to check with every driver and asked bus depot but never found them. Sad

A beautiful silk Versace top that I'd picked up for a song in Florida. Put it on, before heading out to a meeting, had some corn on the cob. Dripped butter down the front and could never get it out. Still furious.

When the bathroom was refurbed, I was putting a glass bottle on the shelf above the sink and I dropped it, smashing a hole right through it.
The builders were literally still on the premises...

Bought a brand new mulberry then went to the pub and vomited all over it that day (it was my 21st).

A smart TV, DS (ASD, was going through a destructive phase) accidentally smashed it before it had even been switched on. That'll teach me not to get accidental damage insurance.

Expensive pair of sunglasses in duty free. Put them on my aeroplane seat to put my bag in the overhead, then sat on them and snapped them. Back to £10 sunnies for me!

When I was young and on the dole, I bought a pair of cool skinny black jeans ( a big expense). Met a friend and got pissed on the way home (wearing new jeans). Got home and decided to use scissors to shorten them, whilst drunk and wearing them. Jeans ended up calf length - in the late 80s when it was not cool then went in the bin 😭

DH drove home his brand new Jaguar and scrapped the front and back door on the low brick wall in our tight cornered driveway entrance. The silly sausage Grin

Bought some new work shoes, leaving the house on the first day and somehow managed to open the front door over my foot, big rip in the front of the shoes before I'd even left the house.

Put my new iPhone in the washing machine in a dressing gown pocket after 48 hours.

@Judashascomeintosomemoney oh god! I know how that feels. Drove mine right into a fence post, wasn't the same day I'd got it but was within the first three months 🙈

Bought a new posh, expensive iron ... didn't read the instructions so just plugged it in.... melted the protective plastic cover all over the metal plate! It was unusable ☹️

Yes, bought a beautiful soft canvas type material corner couch costing over £1500. Burnt a huge hole in the centre of one of the seat cushions with the hair dryer 3 weeks later. Cushion wasn't the type you could flip over so had to live with it on full display for all visitors to see Grin

I ordered a beautiful dress. Couldn't get it on over my head so tugged it over. Heard a rip. Turns out there was a well concealed zip on the side I should've undone to get it on and I broke it by being so rough. Whoops.

I bought some delicate christmas baubles. They looked like bubbles with a white feather in each one. Smashed most of them when opening the tissue paper back home and they rolled off the sofa onto the hard floor.

Every single phone I've ever had repaired I've broken again within months. I also am terrible at putting those glass protector screens on.. Now I have to have a phone case with a raised edge.

What were glyph going to do with a huge glass rabbit? Or are we not talking about a bunny rabbit ..?

£800 beautiful wool coat, first outing involved too much time drunkenly threw up in it in a black cab to avoid the driver cottoning on and giving me a £50 fine...then got home and put it into the washing machine. It came out stinking, felted and the right size for an Oompa Loompa.

Those kinds of price tags are no longer in the budget and I still mourn that coat.

Wore brand new black jeans whilst chucking bleached water on the back yard. White/yellow splash marks all down the front of both legs! 🤦‍♀️

At the start of lockdown I placed two tall candles under our TV and went to make some food in the kitchen. Came back to find the candles had melted the part of the TV you direct the remote at so it was useless.

The next day, went to buy a new TV. That night stupidly (and I still have no idea why I did this) placed the exact same candles under the brand new TV. 5 minutes later a big black mark had burnt onto the screen Blush

Bought some lovely new sunglasses, approx £100-ish. Sitting in my car, outside the shop I had just bought them, snapped the arm off whilst removing the security tags. I’d owned them for less than 5 minutes.
I don’t have a good track record with sunglasses, the cheaper they are the longer I manage not to break them.
