AIBU?

How petty are you?

Sometimes when DH annoys me I eat toast on his side of the bed.. I already know I'm unreasonable, I'd probably murder him if he did it to me. Is anyone else a petty fucker?

Wow. That’s proper evil.

I know someone who put chocolate buttons on their partners face whilst he was asleep, knowing their dog would track down the chocolate.

I thought that was very petty, and funny

Not at all. I don’t have the energy for it tbh.

Not at all. Sounds like something a six year old would do.

No I can't be arsed if someone pisses me off I either ignore or discuss.
An disgruntled old friend wiped her DP's FWB toothbrush on the toilet.

Jesus that's not petty that's just disgusting 🤮

Also, I do confront, doesn't mean I'm not a petty fuck though. He knows about the toast thing, I've confessed to him and he found it funny. Someone out there has to be as petty!!

I'm not petty, I find game-playing very tiresome and would much rather just say if something/someone is pissing me off.

I’m not petty I suppose cos can’t think of anything BUT I love and admire your toast revenge. Must Mentally bookmark that one.

Remember this is MN and everyone here is far too mature and perfect to engage in anything remotely petty and would rather compare such behaviour to that of a child, in the belief it makes them considerably better than yoww (which is really rather petty in itself but there you go...)

Not me though. If DH is being an arse, I stick two fingers up at him behind his back. If he's been an arse and I've had to go out into the city centre, I'll go to the nice bakery, get his favourite slice and eat the fucker myself. Sod him.

I'm only petty in my daydreams. I imagine all sorts of mad revenge plots (when I'm cleaning or in the shower or whatever), but I wouldn't have the energy to actually carry them out and if i did, the schemes would probably backfire somehow anyway. Not worth it.

After having a blazing argument with an ex once I packed up the few things I had at his house in a rage and went to storm out. Just to be cocky and have the last word he shouted "don't forget to shut the door on your way out". So just to piss him off I left it wide open so he had to get up and close it himself.

I definitely have my my moments of petty spite towards DH, just as I have moments of secret devotion.

I think that's funny, OP.
I'm devious rather than petty, tbh.

I'm really petty but mainly over silly stuff. I love winding up my partner and I'm taking the toast tip. Thanks. 👍

I’ve watched 3 episodes of one of ‘our’ saved programmes tonight on the planner and deleted them all afterwards - felt good as he’s an arse

Not these days. I got revenge in a big way to address a situation years ago and spent ages planning it and putting it in place. CBA with the small stuff now.

When DP leaves his damp bath towel in a pile on the bed, I lay it out under the duvet on his side Grin

At last, people who don't feel the need to sit down and reasonably discuss everything. :)

I make lunches up each night and have been known to pull the yoghurt top off ever so slightly. He still hasn't worked out there's a pattern and comes home yelling about the effing mess to get to his sandwiches and goes on about the yoghurt manufacturers ;) :) :) Silly things but it's all about not sweating the small stuff !!

🤣🤣🤣
I forget to put two sugars in his tea.
Or add four,
I might leave the tea bag in 5 minutes too long and add 'just not enough' milk so it tastes just that little bit off
*wide-eyed innocence

Take that you rotter! (Said whispered in a very 'British voice' in my head!)

I'm not at all. DH is incredibly petty though and I find it really unattractive.

DH’s post has been lying on the hallway floor for months. When cleaning i pick it up and then put back exactly where it was. Today there was a spider squashed between two envelopes. He’s cleaned the bathroom and hoovered the upstairs (I mopped downstairs and cleaned the kitchen) so no idea why he thinks his post is not his problem.
