The month before school term ends , I've always sent in a large fruit hamper for the staff room at my DC school.

This year is different ofcourse, do you think its acceptable to send in a hamper still?
We are in a very low area for infection, the pupils returning tomorrow, are small in numbers ( We are in Wales). My own children wont be returning until September but I would still really like to send in something but won't if the opinions here disagree.
Thanks

I was thinking this The fruit kept in the shop packaging do you mean?
I used to get a large crate and just arrange it all out a bit nicely, using clear wrapping around the whole thing.

If the fruit is unprepared eg bananas that can be peeled or apples that can be washed, then fine. If it's one of those beautiful platters where the fruit is chopped and is served buffet style, then I wouldn't.

Yes I've always taken it in unprepeared, I wash off the Apples,Pears,Grapes ect , Maybe as an additional precaution ,I will just leave it all in the bags it comes in from The shop

Could you maybe do a biscuit hamper instead?

I wouldnt send anything in. As lovely as the thought is, you could probably just be wasting your time and money. May just get wasted if people don't want to touch it even if it is in the bags etc .

It’s not even just that. It is also creating work for a member of the admin team.
