I haven't but I have met a friend's one when on holiday on the other side of the world in NZ, it was such an odd experience - they obviously didn't sound alike but they looked identical.

A friend of mine saw someone who looked identical to me whilst on holiday in Germany I think it was. They covertly filmed them as they were sitting on the cafe table behind - I was pretty shocked when I watched it. So weird.

My parents told me they saw my doppelganger in Newquay whilst on holiday.
I moved from my jome town 200 miles to London and must have lived very near my best friend's doppleganger, I saw her fairly often. Fooled me every time

Mine turned up in my first year of secondary school. A lot of people thought she was me (and addressed her directly with my nickname and got a baffled look in response), but I was never mistaken for her, iyswim. Peculiar. When we were eventually introduced neither of us thought we looked like the other, but we duly stood together for a bit so people could work out the difference. Eventually the poor girl stopped having to say I'M NOT BLOODY HER!

No but she was in the audience of Britain’s got talent because someone took a photo off of their paused tv and sent it to me and it creeped me right out, I even sent it to my partner and my DAD and said “who’s this?” And they both said “you” 🤔

Not exactly, but I saw a photo of my great grandmother as a younger woman and it was basically me in a frilly bonnet, which felt strange.

I worked in a cafe as a teenager and another girl was taken on who customers thought was my twin.

We were the same age but went to different schools, so we'd never met previously. Side by side we looked like the same person. Spooky.

Mine is in the public eye so it can be a bit of a pain being 'recognised' and a bit embarrassing as I sound much more common and she probably wouldn't been seen dead in my area 😂

Yes! I think I was 14 or 15 and coming out of WHSmiths and she was on her way in.

Oh and the photo of the nazi youth that my history teacher used. Whole class said she looked like me. I thought she looked like my Mum.

Only in passing. We were both cycling towards each other. We looked like each other, had almost identical clothes on and even our bikes looked like each others. It was like riding towards a mirror and freaked me out.

No, but I have one. She’s a bit of a trollop and has caused me some issues

Yes, in work. She could do bits of my work but I couldn't do hers...she was often very gracious and did what people asked of her ( when they assumed it was me they were asking!).

I definitely got the better deal!

Never met but about 5 years ago a woman serving me at the local supermarket said I looked exactly like her daughter.

Yes, we share an ex! Hes a bit famous and I have been mistaken for him by the paps before, I once had to have a photo removed from a gossip site as it was me and not the doppleganger! I don’t think we’re that similar, but we must be. We went to the same university, we also have the same side of our nose pierced.

I also have an Italian rugby player/fitness guy who I look like.

JesusInTheCabbageVan, I was reading articles with pictures of Sioux First Nation people. My grandfather was Sioux. In the picture from the late 18'00s/early 1900's was a girl identical to my DD, who also had a look of me. Where the picture was taken fitted in with my family's timeline. It was surreal.

If I'm ever around Llandudno I get mistaken for someone. So I must have one.

Yes! On a summer camp when we were 20ish.

To the point where I’d see her, think I was looking at myself in the mirror but then notice I wasn’t doing whatever movements she was doing.

Really weird.

No but she lives in the same city as me because her picture was on the front page of our local paper. Seeing it was a very weird moment.

Yes, whilst interrailing when I was 18 in Aix en Provence. Went with my fellow travellers to a local swimming pool and was immediately approached by a young guy speaking in very fast french, when he realised his mistake he called a big crowd of his mates over, much hilarity ensued. When my doppelganger turned up, she really did look like me, although my hair was a bit longer and more wavy. Spooky. I tried to talk with her but she seemed very peed off about the whole thing and stomped off to the nearest exit!

I haven't but apparently there's a website where you can put your picture and it searches for you.

Not met but saw. She was in the chorus of a musical I went to when I was about 18. Totally freaky.

I may have another as I’m always baffled by how many people think they have met me before when they definitely haven’t

No but I saw my sister’s in a pub once, she had the same hair, same style of clothing, everything except she was taller. It was so weird!
