AIBU?

To already feel like pulling out of this house sale?

Sent required docs to estate agents 4 times as he kept ringing saying he hasn’t received them. This was all in one day. Was quite frustrating but only mildly annoying.

Final thing asked of me was to send my solicitors details. Done.

Told me (same day) Monday house would be off the market by lunch time. Doesnt happen. Send quick email Tuesday evening asking if f he needed anything further for this to be done. He emailed today to say no and would be taken off the market today.

I then get another email this afternoon (saw it after the office closed) saying they need a document (that I already discussed with him and he said what I sent was ok) to get it signed off to be taken off the market.

Just feel like if this is the experience of the sale after less than 2 weeks I feel like Hmm

Sounds like your EA need a kick up the pants, but that’s separate to whether this house is the right one for you?

the whole end to end buying /selling process comes with a lot of documents that vary case by case. Whether that be estate agents, mortgage stuff, funds transactions, legal parts, surveys and valuations, moving people, statutory bodies

There’s a lot going on and a lot of persons involved who have different reasons for requiring different things. Your buyer and their solicitor might need clarification on a lot of things.
Those things can be changeable particularly as processes are a bit stunted right now with covid and people have new ways of working.

It will be frustrating. Be patient ,strap yourself in and enjoy the ride. It will be a distant memory when it’s all over.

Is this the first time you've bought a house? This all sounds completely normal

Yer its a buyers market dont pull out throw it back at them.... If i havent secured it Im going to keep looking..... and keep looking.
You need to let thing go and be prepared to walk away in this process but dont pull out. The seller might be saying no i want to leave it on and the estate agent is trying to fudge it.

What GreyGardens said. It's the most frustrating process, as everyone that you deal with seems to lose documents, forget to send letters, delay, avoid, try their best to fuck the whole process up....
It's not you, or this estate agent in particular. It's supposed to be an arse-pain, I think.

Sounds normal. And they're not your este agent, they're the buyers

Aargh! The seller's! They're the seller's ea. Although you're talking about a sale but sounds like you're the buyer.? Confused

Ask your solicitor to contact the estate agent to get the seller's solicitors asap. Then the 2 sets of solicitors can deal with it between themselves
