this seems to be a huge problem. Everyone has become an "activist" nowadays on social media. Not to forget cancel culture which is a disgrace imo.
For example, Camila Cabello it was found out she was using the n word in her teens. She should have known better yes and it is disgraceful what she did. But surely there has to be a ground where we can all learn from our mistakes. Rather than saying let's cancel her it would be better to have a honest discussion with her and say something like "look its wrong to use this word don't say it" and go through the history of the n word I am sure that would be more effective than saying let's cancel her.
Another is before a trial is done we say people are guilty. For example, Johnny Depp everyone vilified him on social media but the fact of the case actually shows he was a victim and many of the girls and guys who accused him on social media have never apologised to him or said they were wrong in accusing him. Caroline Flack is another example. Yes there was evidence she was violent but what papers were doing disgusting and social media towards her.
Why do people feel the need to comment on things that they have no knowledge on? And the better question why do people think need to give their opinions on everything? I have seen this in my own life as well. People gossiping about men and women because they perceive they are "unsociable" "unloving" "ugly" etc... The world would be so much better if people stopped acting like they know the full story and feel entitled to comment on everything.
