AIBU?

AIBU to buy a glass coffee table with some scratches as a project?

Basically, I've found a gorgeous coffee table, can't find anything like it new. But the top is glass and has a few scratches as you'd expect (it's only a year old but glass scratches doesn't it). I've been researching and apparently it's white possible to remove some scratches from glass and just requires some perseverance (let's face it, I'm furloughed so I've got time..) it's such a bargain too for £20...
DP thinks it's a waste of time and no scratches can be removed.
I'm a bit of a dreamer and an up-cycler and feel like I should have a crack 😂

What do you think?
YABU- DH is tight, the coffee table is a write off, scratches are forever.
YANBU- have a go/ I've removed scratches from glass before!

Bit of a silly AIBU but I find I get the best answers here 🤣Help me decide! I really need a new project. If anyone has any more tips for getting scratches out of glass I would appreciate it!

Anyway, I’d say go for it, get the table and have a crack. It’s only twenty quid.

Why bother removing the scratches? It will get scratched again anyway.

Do it! It's a good skill to learn. If it doesn't work, sell it on for £25
