So I had a miscarriage beginning of May (ish) and on the advice of my doctor, I started the mini pill less than a week after my bleeding started. I didn't think this was right, but I did it anyway as I'm not medically trained. As expected, my bleeding halted very abruptly 2 days after I started taking the mini pill and I assumed all was well.
Fast forward to the last few days, and I have thick black discharge with clumps of greyish pink tissue. No smell, no pain and no temperature. Would you say this needs checking out? Don't want to trouble the doctors for nothing, but it's obviously not normal.

Oh gosh poor you that sounds horrific and I’m also really sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Sounds like you really need medical attention and I would strongly urge you to try to see a different Dr. You could always call 111 and ask their advice if you’re worried you won’t be taken seriously. Please don’t risk getting sick or putting yourself through more trauma. Good luck OP

Yes definitely call 111. They are usually pretty helpful in situations like this. I hope all is OK.

Thanks for the replies. Don't really want to ring 111 as they will most likely tell me to go to hospital, and as I have no other symptoms of being unwell, I'd really rather not. Think I'll ring my doctors tomorrow instead, see what they say.

I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriages and even worse the stillbirth. That must have been traumatic. I had three miscarriages, so I know what they are like.
I hope that all will be well when you speak to your doctor tomorrow.

So for anyone who may have been interested in my fanjos health, it turned out to be a very unexciting case of thrush Grin all sorted within the next few days hopefully!

Very sorry about your miscarriages and stilbirth.
What you described didn’t sound like thrush! (Grey/pink tissue). I hope it clears up anyway Flowers

No, I never even considered thrush tbh, but the GP I saw today is usually spot on with everything, so we shall see.

Very sorry to hear about your miscarriages and stillbirth OP. Did you have a D&C after your last miscarriage? Sorry to be so graphic, but it may be that not everything came away in the miscarriage. I had to have that procedure after I lost my first one. Flowers

To anyone still with an interest in my scruffy fanny, the discharge has gone, I developed a slight itch today, but even that was short lived. Hurray for Canesten!!

@madame no d&c, I've never needed one, everything has always passed without incident thus far, thank god. Sorry for your loss :(
