in the last couple of days on two separate occasions two people have asked.
but in the current climate is it wise?
it seemed wrong to say No

Yes I do

Yes because he's a cutie and most children like to stroke him.

MaHeidsGouping Thu 18-Jun-20 23:15:22

Yes I do, mine is still a puppy so I can't avoid people. I'm more than happy for people to come and make a fuss of him.

I sure do. And I happily stroke other peoples dogs too. It is very calming. Our dog loves it also.

Only if they ask and are calm adults, I usually refuse young children as my dog only likes adults and is easily worried by children throwing themselves at her enthusiastically. She’s also offended by white trainers confused.

Prior to Covid I was often asked and always said yes.
Since March I haven’t been. If I was asked I would say no.

Runbitchrun Thu 18-Jun-20 23:29:55

No, because he doesn’t like strangers. I have, however, asked others if I can strike theirs since the pandemic and they’ve all said yes.

* stroke not strike

Nanalisa60 Thu 18-Jun-20 23:31:10

Yes because she likes people.

BojoKilledMyMojo Thu 18-Jun-20 23:32:42

Yes, as long as she's happy to be stroked as she can be a bit timid with strangers.

Pipandmum Thu 18-Jun-20 23:33:10

Sure. They are stroking the dog, not me. One dog is generally off leash and the other one extended so I'm still 2m apart.

Prior to COVID if people asked, the answer was yes if they didn't mind him getting excited (he will spin in a circle and roll on his back for tummy rubs).

With COVID, no. It is actually ideal for training, as not everyone that walks by is a meet and greet.

A paramedic in uniform asked if they could say hello I said yes but I didn’t expect the touching thing - he was wiped down when we went home.
