AIBU?

RLS :-(

AIBU to feel so fed up. I’m severely anaemic and have RLS as a result, along with other symptoms which has meant I am signed off work for a week. I’ve recently started very strong iron tablets but in the meanwhile the sensation in my legs is awful and stopping me sleeping which is annoying as I’m already exhausted from the anaemia.
Has anyone got any suggestions? Or even just a virtual handhold? It feels like bubbles popping inside my legs constantly :-(

Sounds awful. No suggestions I'm afraid, but I do know what it feels like when you're in constant pain and there's nothing you can do to relieve it.

Hope it eases for you soon. Flowers

Hi I have had RLS since I was a wee girl, it’s horrible. I take medication from my GP called pramipexole that takes the sensation away completely. There are a few types of medication available that help. If you don’t want to go down medication route, another suggestion would be magnesium spray that you can get in Holland & Barrett’s! I used the spray when I was pregnant as couldn’t take the meds, it worked quite well. Hope you get relief soon, it’s the most frustrating feeling when all you want to do is sleep!!!

I've had it many times over the years and the only thing that helps is potassium and magnesium supplements plus eating bananas. Even just the bananas helps a lot.

Hope you feel better soon.

I feel your pain. I'm awake at 4 am with it. My GP gave me cocodamol to try, but they've not helped, so he said there are some meds for Parkinsons that we can try next.

Speak to your GP and ask for help.

I get deep ache and wired pain 'sparling'through my upper thigh. Nothing has helped out over the years and it triggered by my endometriosis.
My partner bought me a chargeable neck and shoulder massager a few months ago.i pop it under my thighs near my bum while lying on my back. Really helps me fall asleep without twitching, rocking or moving legs to get comfy x

I have started using a magnesium spray on my legs before, which has helped. It hasn't stopped it completely but it has reduced it.
