Why are ASDA normalising paedophilia and Child Abuse?

Sunkisses · 16/06/2020 08:02

Is it OK for ASDA to send parents emails linking to an organisation that normalises paedophilia with red flag phrases such as "love has no age", and recommending books for children that contain explicit descriptions of child sex abuse? Why are they doing this? Are ASDA experts in home schooling and safeguarding? More details in this excellent thread by Safe Schools Alliance: twitter.com/SafeSchools_UK/status/1272638132589035520

Bloody hell - this is a major fuck up for someone. This is NOT going to go down well. What a PR nightmare and whoever wrote the original guidance needs their hard drive reviewing.

Hope someone gets the brakes on this ASAP.

I am not aware of this - please could you link the books to me? I have contacted them to ask for clarification on the 'love has no age limit' element, just to see what they say!

I unsubscribed from their email list and got rid of their app. I hope heads do roll over it, but I doubt it.

This is just awful, love has no age! What are Asda doing? Diversity Role Models are on my radar as a red flag and Transgender Trend have wrote about them too www.transgendertrend.com/diversity-role-models-conformity-new-ideology/

Seems to me Asda have been coerced into getting some trans ideology in homes via parents desperate for their kids to do some home schooling. Parents can't fact check this, Asda has seriously not considered safeguarding here.

Quite why Asda should feel the need to take it upon themselves to produce a diversity home learning pack is beyond me. The over reach is astounding. If they wanted to do something useful for DCs’ home learning a pack about where food comes from might have been more within their remit, not a paedophile promoting, child grooming pack normalising child sex abuse.

The love has no age could be an unfortunate mistake on it's own I suppose. But that Magenta book is totally inappropriate. I remember that cropping up before, why are Diversity Champions still promoting it?

I couldn't see anything in the primary pack that came close to what your mentioning, what book or material are you talking about?

Diversity Role Models, sorry.

This should not be recommended to school kids.

Someone on twitter links to the document you can download for primary schools. This is way outside of Asda's remit. They are not educators.

Disgusting.
It was either utter carelessness on their part (which I think is most likely but not ok) or someone with an agenda and a big mouth/position at Asda.

Also, I can't spot the "magenta" book - which page is it in?

I just read the book excerpt. An adult relating how he sexually assaulted other children when he was a child, as if it were normal and acceptable. This is 'diversity'? No surprise, it's a 'Stonewall Honor Book' ...

That's in the secondary school pack though eleventythreeisthemagicnumber. What is wrong in the primary pack?

Where do they say love has no age? I can’t see that
The Magenta book is rank!

I remember the 70s. Sure there was a group around back then with a similar motto. What was it again? Cake, bin, pastie, tart...? Someone will remember?

Why does everyone want to discuss sex with our children suddenly? We’ve gone from one end of the spectrum to the other. It’s fucking disturbing.

I'm sorry I don't understand your point? Surely you don't think that except from Magenta is acceptable for secondary kids?

Is the Love has no age limit actually quoted in the learning pack?

I could just about see how they could stupidly affiliate with the other company without researching properly their values but yo actually print that in a pack and send it to parents, we'll there is genuinely no excuse or explanation for that.
