White bedding is the best

I never thought so.
I would buy colourful bedding with patterns.
Then one day I needed an unusual size to fit the new duvet and the only one in the shop was white.
Good quality cotton, but white.
I bought it thinking well this sucks.
Oh was I wrong.
I washed it yesterday and dried it in the sun and this morning I feel in heaven.
Plus the room looks bigger.
If I didn’t have a small baby and no time I would have ironed it. Oh my, imagine it all steam ironed 😍😍😍

Correct. It is the best, by far.

Jellycatfox Sun 14-Jun-20 07:41:22

So simple 🙃

Jellycatfox Sun 14-Jun-20 07:41:58

@TheStoic I regret all those years living in the dark 😔

Jellycatfox Sun 14-Jun-20 07:42:24

Sorry pictures twice 😣

I don't really see the appeal!

Id be worried I'd spill a cup of tea on it.

PineappleUpsideDownCake Sun 14-Jun-20 07:45:07

And I hate things that need ironing.

I disagree I always have silly bedding which makes me really happy, I have unicorns and mermaids and vintage my little ponies. However I recently bought some very grown up floral bedding and I'm in love with it, I want more grown up bedding but can't find any I like. So maybe I'm not many steps away from agreeing with you. Your bedding is lovely.

I too have discovered the joys of all white bedding, again after years of buying colour. It just feels better.

AuntieMarys Sun 14-Jun-20 07:46:03

All my bedding is white. I love it.

DappledThings Sun 14-Jun-20 07:46:19

Hate it. Along with white walls, clothes, plates or anything!

Never got the thing about people thinking babies look adorable in plain white babygros. So full.

DappledThings Sun 14-Jun-20 07:46:37

Dull! Not full. Stupid phone.

FamilyOfAliens Sun 14-Jun-20 07:47:51

White fitted sheets, definitely.

But I love coloured bedding - 100% cotton, from Habitat, always smile.

Doilooklikeatourist Sun 14-Jun-20 07:47:52

I have all white bedding
Egyptian cotton , plain white
I use it in my holiday cottage and on our bed , I do iron it .
I have a sit down flat press iron

I used to work for a company that sold just white bedding. (It was expensive and poor quality so I wouldn’t recommend you shop there - you probably know who they are) I never really got why people love it so much. I must be the odd one out because I still don’t have just white.

user8558 Sun 14-Jun-20 07:49:08

Yes! White all the way.

It's also very practical because you can remove stains without damaging them.

VictoriaBun Sun 14-Jun-20 07:49:27

We have a grey cat - no white bedding in this house !

pinkstripeycat Sun 14-Jun-20 07:49:32

Ooh turns out I’m not the odd one out. Can you get unicorn bedding in king sized? smile

PsuedoSatisfactionBaby Sun 14-Jun-20 07:50:59

Doesn’t it go all yellowy after a few washes? I’ve had a couple of white sets that look lovely when new but take on that yellowy tinge after a few months. If you can help me prevent that, I’d get some more but am too scared blush

GlumyGloomer Sun 14-Jun-20 07:51:42

I have white, I have coloured, both are fine. Microfiber covers now, those feel amazing. I only have the 1 set because it's non tumble dry, but it's so soft and smooth smile

Ginandbearit1 Sun 14-Jun-20 07:53:03

I have always loved white bedding, didnt realise so many others do too! I like fact that you can see it is clean, dark bedding might be hiding lots of stains grin

Jellycatfox Sun 14-Jun-20 07:53:41

@Doilooklikeatourist mine is Egyptian cotton! Maybe that is it!!!
I got it in TKMaxx of all places!

Lamazey Sun 14-Jun-20 07:54:24

Yes! I was terrified I would ruin it somehow, but it's been fine, even with young DC. I find myself washing and drying my white set asap so I can put it straight back on the bed. Definitely need to buy another.

AriadnesFilament Sun 14-Jun-20 07:56:13

I need colour and a bit of something I’m afraid, otherwise I might as well be in a Premier Inn.

Plus a whites wash is a thing linked to ‘ballache’; I’m not making that feeling worse by adding bedding to it.

BruceAndNosh Sun 14-Jun-20 07:56:29

I bought my first set of white bedding a couple of months ago.
I add a big scoop of vanish powder to each wash to keep it from yellowing
