Hahaha! No-one knows, least of all schools who all found out about it at the sane time as everyone else. Just as dentists suddenly found out they were opening up and schools realised they had two days to swap to a totally online curriculum.
I swear he makes it up as he goes along.

Whatever it entails it can't be as good as the Spanish/computing/maths/write a sentence each story mashup that I have just done with DD age 8 in the most desperate hour of home schooling whilst writing a CSE safeguarding assessment.

I don’t know who is going to be teaching. I know a lot of Primary teachers who have worked Virtually full time since lockdown, including Easter Nd half term holidays and are not going to be working in the Summer holidays looking after or teaching children

I have said this on the other thread. I imagine what will happen is he will chuck some money at schools and leave them to sort it. It won't be catch up, it won't be their teachers and it won't be proper lessons.

The tories scrapped the funding of summer schools a few years ago. They used to be for PP kids.

Whatever it is, I hope it's not compulsory. I am done with trying to work and home school at the same time, and looking forward to a break over summer. I also think teachers need a break so we can all come at this fresher in September.

Even Boris doesn't know that yet, Gavin might have something on the back of a postage stamp I suppose...quite how they're going to staff these proposed summer schools I don't know. None of the primaries or secondaries by me have closed since they returned after Feb half term.

I hope it's not compulsory, I am trying to homeschool one of mine who makes me want to tear my hair out regularly already. I don't want to have to stop and try to figure out how another load of online crap is going to work in as well.
