Appears not to be trending on Twitter, despite the huge number of tweets in response to J K Rowling's tweet.

AIBU to think that Twitter is a bunch of fiddling, dishonest cheats?

It's currently trending on my twitter as IStandWithJKR.

Could you not have asked on one of the other threads?

That is fantastic. It needed someone as well respected as her to speak up.

@OP

Maybe Twitter has just finally had enough of transphobic bigots attempting to justify their transphobic hate by constructing a ridiculous conflation with women's rights?

Have you actually read any of her posts, particularly today's, in full?

Me too - I do not like my gender/sex being appropriated. I also do not like gay/lesbian women being fed down this journey that they're trans, just because they feel the need to conform to some gender norms. If my children turn out to be gay, I do not want them fed this bullshit.

Just be happy with who you are.....you don't need to take damaging hormones or have surgery to make you into some kind of pseudo man/woman.

Ah, look at all the men, having made money out of a woman, now slating her. Bet they feel so engaged. Bet they found it easier to slate JKR than say something meaningful about BLM.

Yet again, more men telling women what a woman is.

I have always found JK Rowling very inspiring.

I 100% stand with her. Her essay is so calm measured and makes perfect sense.

I think it shines a huge light on how utterly mad this all is.

It's possible to have trans friends and still agree with every word the wonderful JK uttered.

Iv come to realise that the definition of transphobic is anyone that has any reservations or even questions, what so ever, about any possible, tiny potential impact trans rights MIGHT have on women’s rights.

That frightens me, not just for myself but for my daughters. I would continue to love and support anyone in my life who transitions. I would champion them and stand by their side.

But if I’m hated, abused and doxxed by trans activists just because I have some worries about whether a trans womans rights might in some way conflict with mine? Then this is cause I cannot get behind.

She is so so courageous am in floods of tears..... the abuse she has put up with is just accepted. It’s so frightening.
