AIBU?

To say fireman Sam is annoying as hell!

Lighthearted thread but OMG!

Firstly Why do they always call fireman Sam? Surely they should call the fire brigade or 999 not Sam, I mean he's not even the station officer!
Second, surely Norman would be in a young persons detention centre by now or at least be kept an eye on by social services! The amount of arson he commits is ridiculous.
Finally Sarah, James and Hannah are horrible friends and should be ashamed!

I always think how annoyed Sam must get being the go-to guy for EVERYTHING that happens in Pontypandy.

Norman Price is a one-person disaster zone. He causes a fire every day of his life. Surely his pyromania warrants some sort of investigation.

I love his dm!!
And Elvis!!
Norman should have been diagnosed as a pyromaniac long ago and locked up!

And why has a small rural village fire station for access to such a vast array of sophisticated equipment?!

@Windyatthebeach I do like Elvis, I don't feel Penny gets enough credit for all she does

YANBU Sam is so smug.

I think if Norman left the village then that would solve every problem!

Their budget is ridiculous, why doesn’t Norman have a criminal record by now and a very busy YOS worker? Where the hell are the police?

Why don’t we see Sam lose his ever loving shit at his useless, feckless and frankly borderline arsonist neighbours???

Norman Price is a lunatic

YANBU we were slagging Norman the other say and saying he should have an ASBO at least. Little shit. And the animation is woefully cheap.
We being me and DH, not me and my child.
Don't get me started on Paw Patrol where the pathetic mayor broke her heel or couldn't look after her niece and nephew so called a 10 year old boy and some dogs to help her. Didn't even bloody try to sort it out herself, no attempt at all Angry

I think Norman is the product of an illicit affair between Dilys and Sam.

I’m not sure how Elvis managed to become a firefighter at all.

They also seem to get the bloody helicopter out for everything and anything!

Haha eh and I said it must be a really expensive place to insure a house. Norman is an utter shit, and whiny too. If he was shipped off to some sort of correctional facility then I'm pretty sure elvis would need to be made redundant, and sam could go part time.

Whose idea was it to give Postman Pat a fucking helicopter?

Talk about jumping the shark. Or hovering over it.

My ds is obsessed with it, I always think there seem to be a huge amount of resources available to a fire station in rural wales. Someone's barbecue goes on fire and they are scrambling helicopters and all sorts!

My DS particularly loves the 'froggy fantasy' episode where James gets the lead in a show and Norman is jealous so superglues the door to the changing room closed with James behind it. Cue fire obvs. It's horrible and yet James is still friends with Norman after that!

I think one of my personal favourites is when Norman's foot is stick and the tide is coming in. Of course they had to call fireman Sam to just take his sodding shoe off.

Have you seen the American version by the way? It's the same but dubbed with American accents. Proper weird it is.

Of course they have a massive budget with Norman Price roaming around the village.

In the Great Fire of Pontypandy, the little ASBO almost burns down the entire town and all the surrounding towns... he doesn't show one bit of remorse, only that he's been found out. Utter twat!
