Losing weight - so frustrating!!

I know this is vain and not important in the grand scheme of things, but does anyone stick at around half to one stone overweight and find it impossible to lose, despite trying everything?

I KNOW I would be so much happier if I could just get down that little bit so why make myself permanently miserable by being 'just that little bit overweight'? Having been at the ideal weight a couple of years ago I know how great I felt but then of course it crept on.

Am I being unreasonable being so tough on myself or should I be more disciplined?

I am exactly the same. Gained lots with each pregnancy and then with the first two got down to my 'ideal' weight and size. This time, I just cannot. I have gained 7-8lbs since lockdown began, and I just can't shift it, or the other 6 ish pounds I had to lose. I'm not doing much exercise and I just don't have the inclination to look after myself very well at the moment. I'm thoroughly fed up generally, which isn't conducive to losing weight x

I'm the same and was getting frustrated. Even using my fitness pal didn't really work.
However 7 weeks ago I started Noom.
So far I've lost half a stone and I maybe have another quarter to go. I wasn't overweight to start with but my weight had been creeping up and I wasn't happy about it.
I'm really over the moon

This has happened to me since going through menopause. I am about 10lb above the weight I would love to be at. I have always been a size 10/12, very active (running/weight training etc), careful about my diet, eating healthily to manage my genetic predisposition to high blood pressure.

I have found I can loose half a stone if I'm really really strict with my eating but it's almost impossible to maintain long term. It's like my body has settled at this slightly higher weight. I can over eat now and then without gaining additional weight but if I get down to the lower weight, I gain up to 7/10lb again very quickly just by eating what most people would consider a normal diet.

I'm a size 12 which is ok I know but I have some lovely clothes which are just a bit too tight and it's very frustrating!
