Lovely. I hope she had the best day My DD is 20 but had a really tough year last year and withdrew from everyone and everything.
Lockdown has really given her time to work through and come to terms with everything that happened so last weekend tk hear her laughing in the garden with one of her friends that's she'd not seen since August made me cry

@Choice4567 we are in Ireland where we are starting phase 2 of reopening and we can now meet with up to 6 people inside or outside of home.

@curlycat awah I'm sorry she had a tough year and I'm so glad she is working through it and getting to see her friend and laughing and talking. It must have been hard for her and for you to go through it all. It's nice to see light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks

Fantastic! Glad it made such a difference. My children could really really benefit from seeing some other children!

How old is she OP? How did she find social distancing? My biggest concern with letting my kids back playing with their friends, is how they'll manage not going back to their old ways of huddling together, or in the boy's case, wrestling each other. :-)

I'm in ROI, I won't be forcing my kids to social distance with their friends but good hand hygiene and sneezing and coughing etiquette will be enforced. Also any signs of illness we will isolate.
25 cases to day and 1 death.

Aww that’s amazing!

I met up with my best friend yesterday (first time since lockdown began) for a walk and a chat, we were out walking for 5 and a half hours Grin it was bliss. Kids and husbands were FaceTiming asking if we were ok/coming home soon Grin

Our kids are great friends too so we all want to meet together but there’s no way we’ll be able to get them to social distance Sad

She's 7, I have no idea to be honest as I didn't stay...but I had her prepped and told her that normal social distance rules applied. They cycled around the house/garden, played with dolls, etc all outside and had lunch. I'm not going to get to picky as right now it is the only friend she will be having contact with and vice versa (we're keeping to a bubble do to speak)

Aw, that's so lovely. It instantly makes you so happy to see your children happy. My DD went back to nursery last week and the excitement was unreal. Smile

Ah so lovely. Ireland have done so well with handling COVID. I grew up there and all my friends there that have DCs are so excited for the playparks to reopen (tomorrow?) - it's the little things!

My DDs are back to nursery tomorrow and they are so excited GrinGrin

@HattieMid2 yes reopening tomorrow along with most shops and and businesses (although no hairdressers yet!) still implementing social distance rules, hand sanitizers at doors and only a certain number of customers at a time but it's a step forward! Here's hoping all goes well 🤞

Ah that's lovely. We're trying to keep to all the rules, in the hopes of getting to see my parents at the end of the month. I could have cried when they said they were reducing it to 4 phases, and you can travel outside your county in phase 3. I should get to see my parents nearly a whole month earlier than we thought.

One of our DSs is 7 too. I think we'll keep him away from his friends until we've seen my parents. Our older kids we might let see friends, as they'd be better able to stay apart.

This is the stuff that's hard about coming out of lockdown - trying to do right by everyone.

We went and sat in the back garden of my daughter's best friend's house this evening for a couple of hours so they could chat. They couldn't hug and whisper etc but had a lovely time

@squiggleirl ah yes it's hard that you can't go out of county..we are lucky that most f our family are within 20k.

A whole month earlier is just 🙌 💕
