Word has it that US food ‘standards’ - high fructose corn syrup in everything, GMOs, artificial colours and flavours etc - will be making their way to the UK.
As an example, I’ve tried the Heinz ketchup in the US and found it disgusting...sickly sweet. Ingredients attached.
Qs:
- Is there a chance that Heinz ketchup sold in the UK will become Americanized?
- What other non-perishable foods night this affect? (I know about the travesty of chlorinated chicken)
