Do you keep baby teeth?

I just read an interview in the paper where the woman said she'd kept all her babies teeth. I kept the first hair-cut curl of mine but am I alone in being freaked out by keeping baby teeth? Or do others find it cute?
The tooth fairy took all our childrens teeth 😉

No.
Dd's went in the bin after the tooth fairy visit.
I still have both dd's first babygrows. Dd2's dolls have inherited them.

I think I still have the first one somewhere but I know I didn't keep the rest. Actually I am now having doubts as to the whereabouts of said tooth. It used to be in an envelope in my bedside table.

I definitely still have the first pair of shoes, so teeny tiny! She's 24 now.

I'm sure my dad mentioned once that he's got my baby teeth still. He is a bit of a hoarder though (old ticket stubs, guide books, etc going back decades) so I wouldn't put it past him!

I don't think I'll be keeping my kids...

I have my eldests teeth. All of them. She is in her 20s now. People react in horror when I tell them but I just can't part with them and throw them away. Weirdly I am not a hoarder at all but I just couldn't throw them out.

I will no doubt keep my toddlers teeth as well when they start to fall out Blush

So far DD has swallowed all of them.

Nope! We don’t do the tooth fairy in our house so my children just bin them in a very pragmatic way. I also don’t keep nail clippings...

My mum kept mine. Finding them in her cupboard was a sinister surprise, and no mistake. I won't be keeping my DD's.

My mum has all mine and my brother's teeth.
I'll also keep dd's teeth as she loses them

I know someone who had one of these. A quick Google shows there are loads around so must be relatively common but creepy

I've kept DS's umbilical stump - couldn't bring myself to chuck it, also have the knitted hat they put on him which still has blood on it 😬 I may keep one tooth but am not a fan of them so may not...

We didn’t do Tooth Fairy. DD wanted to keep all her teeth. She had them in a little box and was fascinated by them for a long time. When she got older she eventually threw them away.

I've got a collection of teeth in a box somewhere. Don't know which came from which child. Think I'd better chuck them before my children come to sort my stuff after my death!

I've also got my gallstones somewhere. Something else that needs disposing of.

No. Straight in the bin.

God, no. I didn't keep hair either. I'm not very sentimental though to be honest.

I've got every one of their baby teeth, in little silver initialled boxes. It's not creepy, it's only a little bit of calcium and enamel. People keep shells and oysters. No different to me and they're personal.

I have kept them. When ds1 lost his first tooth it just seemed wrong to bin part of him, so I ended up keeping all of them.

Dd's look of complete disgust and incomprehension when the dentist asked her if she wanted to keep the teeth she had to have extracted before getting her brace fitted made me think I should probably dispose of all the baby teeth!

Yuk no. But DD2 kept her own. Confused

We will keep the first one but that's it

I did, in my jewellery box. Then ds (12) came in and wanted to look at the jewellery while I was sorting it.

He was so utterly revolted, horrified and perplexed that I had to bin them in front of him 😂

I did. Then years later came across an envelope full of tiny teeth. 🤢I had a word with myself and threw them out.

I did. Each child's teeth in a separate little pot. Then one day I decided to put them all in one box with compartments, like beaders use.

I dropped the box.

Half of the teeth fell through a gap between the floorboards.

I swept up the remaining teeth and bunged them all together into one of the little pots. No idea where it is now.

Every so often I wonder what some future owner of this house will think when they lift the floorboards to do some work, and I have a gruesome little chuckle to myself Grin

I did have them but where they are now I have no idea.

Isn't it odd how one thing can freak out a person and not another! I'm not bothered by the bloodstained newborn hat but teeth really bother me 😆
