Pain after immunisation

We had our 8 week immunisation today and little one is screaming from pain. I have given him calpol as advised by the nurse to stop the risk of developing a fever. It's 3 doses and has already had 2. Is there any remedy that can help with managing the pain? I have read on NHS website to apply a cold compress to help wit the swelling. Please advise..........thanks.

I could have written this word for word back when my LO had her jabs.
Basically - buckle up for an awful night of no sleep, cuddle him as much as needed and top up with calpol when needed. I was advised to just continue with calpol until fever was gone. If he hasnt got a fever - do the three doses and see how he goes - ultimately, calpol is pain relief, if he is in pain just provide it.
Good luck - he will be fine tomorrow!

Firsttimemumofone thanks for your advise. He hasn't got a fever, so I guess I will have to see how things progress.
