Can't sleep after the footage of George Floyd

Don't even know why I'm writing. Has anyone else seen it? It's awful, I wouldn't advise watching it before bed. Minneapolis police officers literally murdering a man on camera in cold blood. So unnecessarily. What has to happen to make this stop?

I haven’t seen the video but I’ve seen screen shots.. I don’t know what to say. That poor man and his family.

It’s not Trump’s America, this shit has been going on for decades, centuries. Trump is a symptom of a failed state, even if he goes in November the problem won’t be solved.

Even the paramedics actions are questionable. The way they manhandled him when he was very clearly dying or already dead.

The paramedics didn't even attempt cpr before they loaded him up on to the ambulance.

Horrific. Every time I see a headline about US police I immediately think - they’ve murdered another black man.
HOW are they getting away with this? When these incidents are recorded and witnessed. hOw?
There’s only so far the’ the suspect might have a gun’ argument can get them - particularly when the victims are obviously no threat to the cops.
And that Any Cooper woman- don't get me started. She knew what she was doing when she threaten the black bird watcher with calling the cops and telling them an ‘African American man’ was threatening her life because he asked her to put her dog on its lead.

And Amy Cooper is now upset because she feels her life is ruined, yet she was quite prepared to ruin an innocent man's life. This exact same thing could have happened to that dog walker. She deserves every second of bad press that she gets.

I have the immense misfortune of living in the US right now. It's horrifying.

Four police officers have been sacked, but George Floyd is still dead.

Amy Cooper deserves much more than bad press. Imho.
She knew full well what she was threatening - death - when she threatened to call police.

And yes, this is nothing new. What is new is the filming.

I hope the footage of all these incidents will be a wake up call but I suspect it will just result in callousness because there is so much of it.

Amy Cooper brought her downfall on herself as far as I can see. At the very least she should be prosecuted.

I can't stop crying. I've never watched someone die before. I didn't really know what I was watching when I was watching it. I usually avoid similar videos. I wonder if the protests happening at the moment will turn in to riots.

Stoneofdestiny Trumpy is of course a dickhead but these instances of murder by police brutality have been happening for an awfully long time. I suspect cheesy poof won’t give a flying fart about this dreadful incident though.
