Totally not an AIBU, posting for traffic! My 15mo has just broke his cot, mea ring he has nothing to sleep in. Argos gave nothing available for collection and a long delivery time. Any ideas of where I could get a cot like today given that most places are shut?

Could you not use the cut mattress in the floor and order a bed today for next day or ASAP delivery?

I'd ask on my local facebook group, some are now allowing contact free selling if you pay by paypal etc. Mattress on the floor for the time being.

A lot of people have cots in their attic. Why don’t you ask friend and family? Put a status on Facebook if you have it? X

You might be able to get a travel cot in a large tesco/ asda or even boots

Could you ask anyone if they have a travel cot that you can borrow until you can order a new one?

Agree... ask on Facebook. We have a cot bed in our attic in excellent condition, just haven’t got round to doing anything with it yet! I bet someone will have one.

In the meantime, toddler will be fine on the cot mattress on the floor for a while. Just make sure he can't access the stairs, and child-proof any areas he can reach.

My eldest went into a bed at that age. She had a low, futon height bed. It was a lot safer than her propelling the cot sides 🙄

My kids slept like that forever. They loved it.

Ask on Facebook is anybody is selling- maybe try your local community groups as well, someone may even have a travel cot or something you can borrow.

I’ve just looked up Montessori flow bed and now I want one for myself! There a sheet over the top and you have a really cool tent as well. Marvellous!

We tried argos, dunnelm, asda and no one had anything. We dont have homebase or anything here. Smyths toys have one but it's an hour drive each way. I've ordered one which will be here in 3-6 days. Ordered a cheap travel cot from argos for now hopefully I get an email to collect after 4! He isnt walking yet so dont feel comfortable putting him in a bed and dont have facebook either.
Just when you think lockdown is saving you moneyHmm lol

Just stick mattress on the floor!

Its great that you've found one but I have no idea why you didn't just check on gumtree or shpock or ask a friend. It would probably have been free, people often cannot give them away.

DD is the same age and will sleep in cots, in a proper bed, a mattress on the floor, anywhere really! For one night I'd just stick him in bed with you or on the floor. Hopefully you can collect your cot though!
