AIBU?

to think Joe Wicks PE sessions are too hard for younger children now

My Children have been doing the sessions since it started at the beginning of lockdown, but the last couple of weeks they have struggled to keep up. They just don't enjoy it anymore.
Joe keeps repeating that the exercises are tough and can't seem to keep up either, he often gives up half way through an exercise saying he's out of breath.
AIBU to think that he needs to go back to the exercises that he did at the beginning and throw in slightly harder exercises here and there for older children/adults.

No that would hardly be progression would it. Every exercise has an easy way to do it, your kids can do the low impact like at the beginning. He’s teaching about pushing yourself and working hard gets you somewhere.

He also isn’t really that knackered I think he is just trying to show that it isn’t easy for everyone, also he can’t do things on his arms.

If your kids are too young they should maybe do something else. My DS likes the increase in difficulty and so do we as we both do it with him every day. Maybe if you join in and show how to do the easier version that might help.

Has he actually said he's upped the level?

The rule in my house is that if you can’t do an exercise, you either make it easier or replace it with something you can do. So we all exercise for the whole time, just not necessarily the same exercise as Joe. I have joint problems so can’t do a lot of them, but do push ups or crunches instead. Joe is out of breath as he is exercising and talking the whole time!!
