Is it a thing nowadays?
When my sons were small, 32 and 34 now, the only places you could get nice bright clothing for boys was Gap, Benetton or Oshkosh. Other than that it was navy, brown or beige, it's what got me into dressmaking, outfits for the boys.
I loved oshkosh especially.
I know nowadays its probably organic neutral, but do they still do well over here in the UK, ?
I was browsing and their site came up and brought back memories.

Gosh yes, OshKosh short dungarees were the sweetest and very hard wearing.

Almahart Tue 19-May-20 20:23:19

I had some stripy osh kosh dungarees for my kids around ten years ago. I loved them

They still have a hardcore cult following but it has spread out to other brands now. You can get the look cheaper at supermarkets and stuff sometimes but we dress in lots of bright scandi brands now.

I got all my OshKosh on Ebay

Controversial but I hated the OshKosh clothing my little brother was dressed in when we were kids and it totally put me off ever dressing a baby or young toddler in denim. It just seemed so harsh on his delicate skin and looked so strange on him. And I hated seeing him in the rough polo shirts they used to do too.

I’d agree that it’s more Scandi clothes that are on trend now in bright gender neutral soft fabrics.

Still a thing! You can sometimes find osh kosh sets in Costco

CaptainBlunderpants Tue 19-May-20 20:35:37

Mine had the stripey dungarees, they looked so cute in them!

Greenteandchives Tue 19-May-20 20:40:30

OshKosh b’Gosh.
The designer kids wear of the 80s. So cute.
Mine wore clothes from a place in Bristol called Kidstuff. Similar clothes to OshKosh, rainbow jumpers and T-shirts, matching socks or tights and brightly coloured dungarees. Wish I had kept them.

I have a two year old boy and last year I bought a bag full of Oshkosh colourful dungarees from a carboot and I loved them! I had never heard of the brand before then though.

PhoenixBuchanan Tue 19-May-20 20:55:05

Both my DDs wore OshKosh overalls that belonged to my DSis in the mid 80s. Still as cute as ever and still in relatively good nick!

Troels Tue 19-May-20 20:56:15

My three all wore OshKosh b'gosh. We had one pair of coveralls passed around friends that went through 6 kids when my oldest Ds wore them, and I gave them bck to a friend and they went onto more kids after.
I used to shop the OshKosh outlet store where we lived Dd wore very cute flower print coveralls. The tee shirts and other stuff lasted well just like the denim.
Loved those clothes and Gymboree

My now 16 year old definitely used to wear Osh Kosh! I don't remember seeing it when my 11 year old was little though

Ylvamoon Tue 19-May-20 20:59:04

Oh I loved OshKosh boy dungarees for my toddler DD! They were great quality and just right for a little tomboy.

GirlCalledJames Tue 19-May-20 21:00:13

I have 6–7 oshkosh things handed down. My 18 month old is the 7th to wear them and some items look as good as new.

Myimaginarycathasfleas Tue 19-May-20 21:01:43

I lived in a very affluent area when mine were little so I got rich pickings from the charity shops. I remember OshKosh fondly. Also Clothkits!

InTheShadowOfTheMushroomCloud Tue 19-May-20 21:03:14

shookbelves Tue 19-May-20 21:18:20

Sil sent a couple of their things over from the States about 20 years ago, got to be honest, I didn't like them all that much.
