Unfortunately I have the most vile neighbours and I live in a semi detached which means I can hear them purposely slamming doors music etc.
I won’t go into detail but they are very vindictive.
I have managed to just about tolerate them over the years.
But my mental health is affected by them.
I will be in a position to move house soon.ive spent a lot of money doing up my home and garden and if it wasn’t for them I would be happy living here.
I’ve been down all routes to try and stop their behaviour they refused mediation .
My question is would you move just because of vile neighbours ?

Yes I would. If the place I was moving to was of equal size, quality, and so on.

If you're moving to a place that could be a compromise, then you may resent where you live - would that be a cost too far?

I guess I would be looking for a house with no neighbours as can’t go all through this again.

You will have to declare your problems with your neighbours on the seller's property form. That would put off potential buyers.

They are homophobic but very careful not to use any words that relate to me being gay .it was bad enough when their daughter went spreading horrible lies around our village that got back to me. So I will of course disclose the problems I’ve had to any potential buyer.

why would you disclose a vindictive gossip to the new buyer though? they want to know about boundary disputes or unreasonable noise etc, not about petty behaviour, you might jeopardise the sale of your house if you put things down that aren't necessary, after all your buyer might get along well with them - they can be bigots together!

We are planning to move for similar reasons (noise).

There was a kind of boundary dispute but it was dismissed .again that was them claiming my boundary was theirs when clearly on the plans it wasn’t. The police have been involved quite a few times .
