AIBU?

Do we actually know what will happen in secondary schools in September or is it just rumours?

That only the current year 10 and 12 going back and years 7-9 carrying on at home? I’ve read this on numerous threads now and am praying it’s just speculation?

So a possibility?

We definitely don't know. I work in secondary and we haven't been told plus it could change of R increases which it looks like it might.

As a school we are upping our remote learning game every week to try and be prepared if this does go on for a long time.

The guidance for secondary hasn't been published yet.
Given there's only talk of year 10/12 for some input before the summer, many schools I know are considering multiple situations from September. We don't know though.

No official guidance at all.
There seems to be a real push to improve online/remote learning provision and no real change inside schools. I was expecting SLT to announce new sinks being installed, one way system being signposted, carving up of big spaces!? Hall/sports hall. But nothing! They have said they just can't 2nd guess the govt plans ( or lack of)

Thanks for the information, I’m relieved it’s speculation at the moment. At some point they’re going to have to start weighing up the damage many dc will suffer vs the risks of Corona.
