This is not a flounce because I plan to be back but I am done with watching people winding each other up.

Yes CV19 is bad but at some point we have to learn to live with it. That is a fact.

The terror needs to stop. We all got "nudged" too far. At some point, be it now, September or next year, we have to come to peace with the new reality.

I have shielding parents and a shielding son, I have a daughter who is NHS (an ODP) a daughter who works in a supermarket and three kids at school. I get it, I really do. But even my father (with COPD) said that the fear exhibited by young healthy people is disproportionate.

Coming on here is is bad for me and I would suggest, bad for others too. So I'm off.

Shame OP, I like your contributions. FWIW I agree with you on Covid but finding MN bearable with a bit of reduced time and avoiding the really goady threads. The tone has definitely changed around here since I started posting (2010/11 I think) but that’s natural as the site grows and personally I still get a lot out of it if I don’t overdo my time on here. True of anywhere I guess though, I get ragey if I overdo time on Twitter too.
