Would you judge someone who had a baby with a married man?

Not a reverse.

I know someone who has had a baby after having an affair with a married man. She went out to get pregnant as she wanted a baby, and he had a wife and children so it's destroyed their lives. The father is not involved at all.

I think the man is a slimeball but I can't help but feel very disapproving of her too. My father had an affair and it would have been devastating if this had resulted in a half sibling too. I wish I wasn't such a judgey cow but we can't help some things can we?

I would.

HollowTalk Thu 14-May-20 22:17:36

I'd judge both of them. His poor wife and children.

Not as much as I would judge the married man.

LouiseTrees Thu 14-May-20 22:18:48

I think if it’s not their intention to get pregnant then it’s one of these two to tango scenarios but in the scenario described above I would definitely judge.

Bella2020 Thu 14-May-20 22:18:55

I certainly would think less of someone who did that.

Gawdsake2020 Thu 14-May-20 22:19:30

Yes. Bloody good for nothing homewrecker. angry

AnneLovesGilbert Thu 14-May-20 22:19:50

She went out to get pregnant

How did she do that?

Is their relationship now over?

WhatwouldLangdo Thu 14-May-20 22:20:01

I'd judge and think less of them both.

notacooldad Thu 14-May-20 22:20:26

I cant be arsed judging.
People make their own decisions and it doesnt impact on me.

HalfBloodPrincess Thu 14-May-20 22:21:00

No. I'd judge the married man though.

My grandmother had a baby with a married man at age 17 in 1957. She didnt find out he was married til my mum was 3.

Clemmieandareallybigbunfight Thu 14-May-20 22:21:09

Yup I'd judge

He's a creep and a liar and she's a home wrecker

Not good

Whatsername177 Thu 14-May-20 22:21:24

You have to be a very uncaring person to do something like that. Not least to your own child.

SuckingDownDarjeeling Thu 14-May-20 22:22:55

Just to make sure all bases are covered, was she aware that he had a wife and children? Or did he say he was 'living like housemates with a woman who no longer loves him'.

Either way, hell yeah I'd judge her, and him. But if she knew he had a full family unit and went ahead and did that anyway, I'd add some choice words to my judgement of her. None of those words are particularly feminist friendly.

zscaler Thu 14-May-20 22:23:17

I would judge both, him more than her.

MyHappinessProjectx Thu 14-May-20 22:24:01

I'd feel more sorry for them, they have opened themselves up to so much judgement. Their child will end up complicit in somebody else's secret, maybe knowing about half siblings but unable to contact them.

Russellbrandshair Thu 14-May-20 22:24:04

Yes. I think they’re both scum

h3av3n Thu 14-May-20 22:24:16

He chose to ejaculate inside her and chose to cheat on his wife...

Hunnybears Thu 14-May-20 22:24:28

Yep and I’d have a smirk when she struggled with the lack of sleek that comes with having a newborn- let alone going in to in with your eyes wide open the way she did. No sympathy whatsoever.

He is a dog also!

Russellbrandshair Thu 14-May-20 22:24:41

Him and her - not the child obviously, the child is innocent

h3av3n Thu 14-May-20 22:25:41

How can someone be a 'home wrecker? As if women force men to cheat on their wives? The husband is the home wrecker. If it wasn't her then it would have been another woman or other women.

welshpolarbear Thu 14-May-20 22:25:54

Yep - both of them.

PicsInRed Thu 14-May-20 22:26:04

They're both horrid. Horrid.
That poor wife and children - all the children.

PicsInRed Thu 14-May-20 22:27:19

She's a knowing home wrecker and he's an adulterer.

They're both scum.
