Woman on Sky TV singing live at her front gate to celebrate the NHS. It's too much. Stop. Please.

As predicted, on my street tonight, many people who broke social distancing for VE Day were also out clapping for key workersHmm

Not a single clap to be heard in my area tonight.

The wanker who lets of fire works continued non the less.

The clap was noticeably quieter here tonight. Fireworks man has also seemingly run out of fireworks. Beepy car man's beeper remains in working order.

rabbity exactly why I will not be going out again. I show my appreciation to the NHS by staying in, a measly clap is not going to atone for the garden parties in our street at the weekend.

It was a half hearted clap tonight I have to say. I can’t stand the fact that government ministers are out clapping for keyworkers on TV whilst simultaneously planning a public sector pay freeze!

Finally I cul-de-sac came to its senses and stopped doing the clapping! Novelty worn off. We were out chatting but no clapping! I LOVE my neighbours Smile

Much quieter here. One house I think. I've never clapped. I vote Labour instead.

I can’t bear it, I’ve always hated it.

Makes me laugh that up here in Scotland where we are still meant to stay home and save lives the whole street is out, pensioners nattering to each other over the fence leaning in, kids all mixing and mingling up and down the street on scooters etc, crack on guys because CV19 doesn’t affect anyone between 8 and 8:30pm on a Thursday does it?

Crock of fucking shit, it’s the same arseholes giving daggers when your kid even looks at them from less than a fucking furlong away under normal circumstances.

Anyway, as you were guys x

I was having a shower then remembered the clap- so clapped out of my window, dressed but with wet hair. Still going strong here.

No clap near us. Grateful because the keyworkers in my house are getting up at 2 am so dont need to be woken up by an 8pm cacophony when they have only just got to sleep.

I live on a military base and nobody claps. The armed forces personnel you see clapping on TV are ordered to clap.

There were some police officers clapping on the TV in a VERY half hearted way tonight. A lot of people have had enough.

Report
BirdieFriendReturns · 14/05/2020 21:10

I wonder if people will be clapping every Thursday in 100 years time. When nobody even remembers the NHS.
