Woman on Sky TV singing live at her front gate to celebrate the NHS. It's too much. Stop. Please.

I fucking love the clap. If you don't, just stay in.

Isitrainingihadntnoticed Thu 14-May-20 20:08:35

Pmsl.

Yeh it's quite out

RabbityMcRabbit Thu 14-May-20 20:24:51

As predicted, on my street tonight, many people who broke social distancing for VE Day were also out clapping for key workershmm

RJnomore1 Thu 14-May-20 20:26:08

I fucking love the clap

HOWLING 😂

WilheldivaHater Thu 14-May-20 20:27:53

Not a single clap to be heard in my area tonight.

The wanker who lets of fire works continued non the less.

OneJump Thu 14-May-20 20:29:41

The clap was noticeably quieter here tonight. Fireworks man has also seemingly run out of fireworks. Beepy car man's beeper remains in working order.

Youcouldbemysilversprings Thu 14-May-20 20:30:37

rabbity exactly why I will not be going out again. I show my appreciation to the NHS by staying in, a measly clap is not going to atone for the garden parties in our street at the weekend.

CoronaIsComing Thu 14-May-20 20:34:05

It was a half hearted clap tonight I have to say. I can’t stand the fact that government ministers are out clapping for keyworkers on TV whilst simultaneously planning a public sector pay freeze!

letmethinkaboutitfornow Thu 14-May-20 20:35:44

Finally I cul-de-sac came to its senses and stopped doing the clapping! Novelty worn off. We were out chatting but no clapping! I LOVE my neighbours smile

Lonelymum11 Thu 14-May-20 20:42:17

I fucking love the clap.

This may need rewording

Windyatthebeach Thu 14-May-20 20:44:31

Was it the Donna Summer version?
grin

HMSSophie Thu 14-May-20 20:44:55

Much quieter here. One house I think. I've never clapped. I vote Labour instead.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut Thu 14-May-20 20:48:05

I can’t bear it, I’ve always hated it.

Makes me laugh that up here in Scotland where we are still meant to stay home and save lives the whole street is out, pensioners nattering to each other over the fence leaning in, kids all mixing and mingling up and down the street on scooters etc, crack on guys because CV19 doesn’t affect anyone between 8 and 8:30pm on a Thursday does it?

Crock of fucking shit, it’s the same arseholes giving daggers when your kid even looks at them from less than a fucking furlong away under normal circumstances.

Anyway, as you were guys x

recycledteenager24 Thu 14-May-20 20:51:03

morris most of us would rather not and therefore keep our knickers on ! grin

Sparklfairy Thu 14-May-20 20:51:50

I fucking love the clap

Note to self: don't put this on my tinder profile grin

Legoandloldolls Thu 14-May-20 20:52:39

No one clapped here tonight. First time ever

Bluewavescrashing Thu 14-May-20 20:54:46

I was having a shower then remembered the clap- so clapped out of my window, dressed but with wet hair. Still going strong here.

ramseyspamsey Thu 14-May-20 20:59:09

That first reply just stole the thread 😂😂😂

Willowmartha1 Thu 14-May-20 21:01:42

Agree it's all getting a bit daft now. We saw the lady warbling on sky news it was very cringe !!

GreyGardens88 Thu 14-May-20 21:01:52

The clapping in my area normally lasts for one minute only, tonight it lasted an annoyingly long 2 minutes, it's getting worse sad

I fucking love the clap.

Said no one. Ever.

[Passes the antibiotics ...]

GnomeDePlume Thu 14-May-20 21:05:40

No clap near us. Grateful because the keyworkers in my house are getting up at 2 am so dont need to be woken up by an 8pm cacophony when they have only just got to sleep.

Notnownotneverever Thu 14-May-20 21:09:03

@HMSSophie exactly what you said.

BirdieFriendReturns Thu 14-May-20 21:09:07

I live on a military base and nobody claps. The armed forces personnel you see clapping on TV are ordered to clap.

There were some police officers clapping on the TV in a VERY half hearted way tonight. A lot of people have had enough.
