Just that, really. My ex BIL has been doing this throughout lockdown to allow his friends and family to party at his luxury villa in France. I only just discovered it in time to stop my shit of an ex doing this (thereby fucking me and kids over. He is supposed to be doing joint childcare as i have full time job). Am livid

What proof do you have?

Timetospare Thu 14-May-20 20:02:06

And how exactly does your BIL’s actions and his friends impact on you, aside from your ex and his actions?

P999 Thu 14-May-20 22:06:21

If my ex goes and gets stuck in France cos of quarantine rules or border changes, we will be v impacted. Not to mention exposure risks

My proof is that ex told me. And i know what his brother is like. He runs a tax avoidance firm. Am pretty sure he just be bribing someone cos no idea how else he could do this.

It’s fraud. Tell the police.

He sounds like a wanker.

Moondust001 Thu 14-May-20 22:16:02

Is this the UK? If so, there is no such thing as an essential business form. As things stand, if someone wishes to get on a plane out of the country, and there is a flight, and the country at the other end accepts people, the you or anyone else can go wherever they like.

Adelino Thu 14-May-20 22:16:02

Email the mairie local to the villa.

LouiseTrees Thu 14-May-20 22:41:26

Yep it’s the french police you need to get involved. They are way stricter than the UK.

P999 Thu 14-May-20 22:56:50

I speak fluent French. And i know the address of his holiday villa. Am so tempted. He is a prize shit.

God, just stay out of it.

Msmcc1212 Thu 14-May-20 23:04:43

If that is happening it’s unacceptable and I’d shop him to the police without thinking twice. This is killing people. Young children are losing parents. Healthcare workers are risking their lives. He sounds exceptionally selfish. Sociopath?

Peggysgettingcrazy Thu 14-May-20 23:08:08

A friends husband got stuck at their second home in France and hasn't been able to get back.

What exactly is an essential form to fly?

P999 Thu 14-May-20 23:11:48

100% pure sociopath. Ruthless, amoral and the rules apply to everyone else (or are there to be broken).

I don’t know why you’re hesitating!

P999 Thu 14-May-20 23:14:06

I think the forms apply to food companies, and the like. So no idea how he's doing it. But he is. Somehow. With no qualms at all

Yes I’ve been agog to be honest at a gentlemen from our school that’s been doing this and posting ‘where am I?’ Showing various shots of himself around the world hmm

P999 Thu 14-May-20 23:15:18

I will. Thanks for encouraging me. Never done anything like this before.

Who are you going to shop him to? And what will they charge him with?

AHintOfStyle Thu 14-May-20 23:24:54

Don't they need to eat & drink while they're there? How are they getting that level of supplies?

PersonaNonGarter Thu 14-May-20 23:32:13

I think you don’t need a form in France any more so not relevant.

littlebitleaveit Fri 15-May-20 03:52:16

I personally think you should stop getting yourself involved and mind your own business 🤷‍♀️

grisen Fri 15-May-20 05:57:44

You don’t need a form to leave the country, and mind your own business. Nothing illegal about leaving the UK or and on entering France you must fill out a permission slip for yourself, if you still have to do that. Nothing illegal being done there, mind your own business.

tara66 Fri 15-May-20 06:25:26

You need the form for France not here. ''Essential business'' is not an acceptable reason yet there at the moment . I think the owner of holiday home can go if he has his utility bills/proof of property tax etc to produce at airport in Nice but not the other people. Otherwise one needs letter from French Embassy . See some Cote d'Azur Groups on Face Book.
