Hi ladies (and gents)

I’ll make this as short as I can.

I’m just over 36 weeks pregnant. I am trying to remain positive during the pandemic but some days are harder than others entertaining a 3 year old and dealing with a partner struggling with his mental health. I’ve tried the supportive approach but I’m finding it exhausting in all honesty. When I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago I lost my Mum who also suffered with mental health problems. I had no other choice but to get on for the sake of my unborn baby. Don’t get me wrong he is trying to keep himself busy and to some I probably sound really selfish but he’ll swan off for hours at a time to go browsing around the shops as he is keen on sorting the garden or for social distancing time with his Dad. I just don’t know what to do. He is making me hate him for the way he feels because I need him to be there for ME at this time. He has recently started talking to his sister again after several months. She is insane to put it politely. My daughter doesn’t really know her and I’d like to keep it that way. I wouldn’t trust her as far as I could throw her. She left her own children home alone at 9 and 6 years old a couple of days ago whilst her, her husband and their 10 month old went shopping for 2 hours which I think is disgusting. Now they are speaking again she thinks we are going to have play dates (something we’ve never done.) I’d rather 💩 in my hands and 👏🏼!
She has also invited herself to MY house “as soon as lockdown is over” to meet our new baby. She is a care worker and her husband works in a supermarket. They are the last people I want near my precious newborn in spite of my opinion of her SAFETY FIRST!!

Say no? Is it not that simple?

Just a short text to let her know YOU will let HER know when officially it's safe. I read on here mw are saying 12 weeks from now for new babies.. So that would be 8 weeks for yours! No law says you need answer your door!

It will be a long time yet before she can come to your house anyway.

And if she invites herself just say no and stand your ground.
