My daughter is a front line nurse.
Last month she contacted Covid-19, which fortunately she recovered from, but is still feeling the effects of.
Last week a pipe burst in her downstairs bathroom overnight while she and her husband were asleep and flooded her out.
Last night she went to go to work and found some low life had stolen her car!!
I'm angry, so angry at the low lived scumbag.
I hope they find her car wrapped round a tree with the scum thief crippled inside it.
That is all.

That’s a really shocking run of bad luck. And the last thing she needs after such a stressful time
Vent away by all means
I hope they find the car soon.

Thank you.
All I want to do is give her a cuddle and make it all ok for her, but I can't due to social distancing.
However old they are, they still need a cuddle from mum sometimes 😭

There are some true arseholes. A few years ago my mates car was stolen from a disabled bay on the street with her disabled badge displayed. It was a 500 quid banger as well.
You do have to wonder at the feral nature of some people.

I am very sorry. They say things come in threes. She has had her three, so the bad luck spell is over and she is now due some serious good luck.

I am sorry DD is having a rough time. I hope she gets a run of good luck. Some people have no respect.
The story I attached actually made me cry, this world is so fucking unfair at times.

I hope that karma comes and wallops that car thief good and hard, what an absolute scumbag.
Your daughter is doing a great job, I hope that she feels better and that her house and car issues are sorted out soon....

Ha ha. The universe is neither sentient, nor can it count.

OP, I hope your daughter feels more cheerful soon.

That's awful, I hope it's all sorted out for her and they catch who stole her car.

@EmeraldShamrock That truly is heartbreaking 😢
Sometimes I just wonder about some people's brains.

@opticaldelusion Hmm really? Someone was being nice and trying to reassure OP and you laugh at them. What was the need? Dickhead behaviour.

Nightmare situation poor woman. Hope the idiot gets his just desserts.

Well, it is true that the universe isn't sentient, but karma is a very real thing. Someone who lives their life doing shitty things like stealing cars will eventually get caught. Maybe not for that particular crime, but something bad they do in life will catch up to them.

I hope your daughter feels better soon, OP. She definitely deserves some good luck coming her way xx

Well stealing a car isn't nice and it is a crime but wishing for someone to be crippled isn't exactly great either.

The universe isn't sentient, but regression to the mean is a real thing.
What a crap time she's had. Down with all that sort of thing.

V sorry your DD has been through all this, and for your worry and not being able to see her.

Your comment about the criminals is not OK though.

Perfectly natural to wish ill on someone who has done something appalling to a loved one. If it’s any comfort, having worked in the past with people who have a tendency to steal cars, their lives are generally shit from start to finish. They’ll never know the joys of life that will be part of your daughter’s normal existence. Wishing her all the best, and lots of good luck in the future.

oakleaffy · 13/05/2020 10:53

@SpudsGuns
Urgh...
That is really horrid run of 'bad' luck....But they tend to come in threes, and now this is the third.

The thief deserves get caught, but will probably escape Scott free....... it is bloody unfair, as how is she able to get to work and back again safely without a car?
Thieves are amongst the lowest of the low..Vile actions. Flowers

That's terrible OP, hope everything gets better for your DD & you soon.
And you're entirely justified to feel angry.

FFS, it’s a vent. Must people always latch on and judge and disrupt a thread like this?

OP I am sorry for what your DD has been through.

Ignore those who appear to be perfect and have never said a bad thing about anyone else in the heat of the moment ever....

If the twat rapped the car round a tree it would be no more than he deserved. After all, if you don’t want to end up in an accident then perhaps not steal cars eh?

Urgh, what a horrible run of events for you and your family - who wouldn't have strong emotions about all of that? So tough for you not to be physically with her. Hope she's completely better soon, that insurance can sort the rest and that life gets happier for you all soon.
