Just that really, I live in England but would quite happily vote for NS to be PM if given the choice over BJ. To me she seems much more trustworthy and has shown better leadership.

Quite possibly. But then, so would my cat - at least he's honest and upfront about the self-interest.

Jesus Christ looking at her record - her education crisis, record unemployment, health, are you insane?
No thanks!

Can you give some examples?

@Amanduh, Scotland get free prescriptions, have better education want to remain in Europe..... Boris' record doesn't exactly shine, his spat at FS didn't go too well, he failed to find a ditch and the handling of the current pandemic leaves a lot to be desired. PPE, bringing in measures, care homes.

Unfortunately, we don't get to vote for our PM, only our MP. If the party of government decided to elect Coco the Clown for their leader, we'd be lumbered with him.

Oh, wait, they already have...

I'm quite a fan Nicola Sturgeon. She seems like a relatively normal, intelligent human being without psychotic tendencies and appears to genuinely believe in doing her best for the people of Scotland. That's easy to say when you live at the other end of the country, though.

She doesn't waffle as much as Boris and is clear with what she's saying I'll give her that.

Dreamersandwishers · 07/05/2020 13:56

Yeah, she speaks well, especially in a crisis, but as pp said - look at her track record in the day job... falling education standards, understaffed NHS missing her arbitrary targets - no 2 week pathway for suspected cancer here - understaffed Police in crisis, higher tax rates.
Yeah Nicola is a real star.

Go ahead and move to Scotland then. Something tells me you might regret it

100% this.

Being "better than Boris Johnson" is the ultimate in being damned by faint praise. It's like trying to choose your favourite cancer.

You do get that, if Nicola Sturgeon were Prime Minster, she’d be breaking up the United Kingdom and the job of PM wouldn’t exist any more/ that presumably, having achieved that, she’d be beetling off back to Scotland?

🤷‍♀️

Just to provide a bit of balance on this thread, I like her. In fact, I can't think of anyone I know who doesn't. I trust her. I believe she acts in the interests of the Scottish people.

She is a better communicator, which isn't difficult against Boris, but she isn't any better at leading than he is. She has had one agenda and one only throughout her entire leadership.

That said I am supportive of what she is doing in Scotland right now, for whatever reason.

Funny how Unionists keep insisting she talks about nothing but independence, while Yes voters complain she's put the issue on the back burner.

Nicola Sturgeon is the epitome of "if you say something with enough confidence and authority, people will believe you". She could say anything at her briefing and people would believe her because of the way she presents it (almost daring people to question her). That's probably quite appealing compared to other people...

In what way do they have better education?

Good God! In every way possible is the answer to this.

An intelligent strong woman. Why on Earth would MNers think that this would be a good idea? Hmm

She only has one agenda Scottish Independence even though she lost that vote ages ago. Mind you she seems to wear nice shoes 😁
