Botox advice

Im 38 and have really bad crows feet, always have since late 20s. I now have pretty severe forehead lines developing. I did try botox once when I was around 33 - I got it done by a doctor, and the forehead was amazing but the crows feet - I wasn't happy with. it moved the lines from the side of my eye to under my eye if that makes sense? And basically made it look a bit worse as it didn't look like nice laughter lines! Anyone else had experience with botox for crows feet? Im reluctant to get it again except for my forehead.

I’ve had it three times, approx every 5 and a half months. It worked well on my crows feet, I had about 5 lines, straight after treatment no lines and now I’m nearly 4 months since my last session and one like has reappeared. I have it on my forehead and on my elevens too. I have no lines on my forehead just after treatment and then only very faint one as it wears off. I’m 51, I wish I had started sooner.

I get it six monthly for crows feet. I have it in the corner of my eyes to tackle the crows feet, I have it under my eyes (can be a bit uncomfortable but totally worth it) to tackle the under eye issue. I also have, once a year, a tiny bit of filler to fill out the shadowy channel down from my test duct. Works for me and looks great.

You need a dab of Botox beneath the eye, too.

I see an oculoplastic surgeon for Botox around the eyes and it looks great. In fact, she prefers to use Dysport on the crows feet (Dysport tends to “spread”) and Botox beneath the eye.

Would any of you be able to post a link of what you mean by a bit of botox underneath the eye? I’m interested in this. I asked my dermatologist about under the eye but he won’t touch that area.

thanks for your replies. Honestly, I think the Dr would did this was new to it, maybe that was the problem? He said he was starting it and was offering a discount. It definitely just moved the problem to under my eye, where I hadn't had any problems perviously. I just need to spend more money and go to someone who is experienced I think!

You need to go to a cosmetic surgeon, and ideally one who specializes in eyes or the face.

This happens occasionally.
You can have a very tiny amount placed under the eye.
The obicularis occuli muscle is a sphincter muscle so for some people the botox needs to be spread out a little more.
It's an advanced technique and can result in swelling.
I'm an aesthetics practitioner. I'm not trained in advanced botox but i know quite a bit.

P.s the practitioner should have offered you a review appointment to tweak this.

I’d say try another practitioner and give it another go. I have been having Botox for over five years now, and always get my crows feet done. I have never had an issue, and I have used three different practitioners.

I have had it for forehead lines and really like it. My doctor used to put a bit at the end of each eyebrow to lift the eyes - it was very subtle but looked good - you could ask about this as a subtle anti-aging thing for the eyes, in addition to work on crows feet. (I am breastfeeding a toddler and then probably will try for another baby which is all great but selfishly I am sad that I am not going to be able to get botox again for another few years!!)

I went to Dr Haq at Cosmedocs on Harley Street - I think he is pretty good, but again, only been to him for forehead, not eyes.

Hello I am a newbie. I want to have Botox on my 11's but am a bit nervous as want it to look natural. Can anyone recommend a good clinic and or doctor who I can go to see? I am based in London. Thanks
