Why would you be that parent?

My daughter works in a school. She has spent very long days and weekends working to make sure that the children in her school can access lessons online and today the school received a complaint. Apparently little Clarissa is only allowed to have one hour and twenty three minutes of screen time a day and why aren’t they doing something better than online teaching? It is a secondary school. No it may not be ideal but the school is desperately trying to do its best in unprecedented times, at short notice. How else are they supposed to do this? The work cannot be printed out and sent to a thousand children, this is not practical. I feel so sorry for all of the staff that have put in so much extra work so that the children can carry on with their education, to then have people like this make them feel bad about it. Please think beyond yourselves before you send a message like this, it is demoralising. Most teachers are doing their very best. Perhaps it would be nice to send supporting messages or keep quiet.
