Just that really.

Somewhat disappointed! I was almost buying in to the Armageddon hypothesis and almost joined the stock-pilers!

But that's because of the transition period. Nothing has actually changed yet.

We've not left yet, not really, its the "transition period" so pretty much everything is exactly as it was before. Armageddon is a bit of an exaggeration but you'll notice the difference in a year - how much difference depends on how much the government manages to get set up to replace all the existing agreements and arrangements

We haven't left yet. Still a transition period while they sort out how to leave by 31st December! I've not seen our PM doing much lately but maybe Classic Dom is ' sorting it out?'? Who knows.?

We have not left. Perhaps you should read the newspapers OP!

As pp said, we're in transition. I suspect that by the time we go it won't be half as bad as first feared though. NOT because remainers were seeing/leavers were right, but purely because the process has taken so long, so there's been far more planning done.

HollowTalk · 21/02/2020 18:20

Haven't you heard the advert on TV, telling all foreigners to get their papers sorted?

Wrong, not seeing!

How can you not know about the transition period. It’s everywhere!

I’m not even in the UK and I knew! 😂

The horsemen of the apocalypse weren’t going to come riding in at the stroke of 11pm were they? Grin

Political effects take time to trickle into day to day life. The real comparisons will be made circumstances around the time of the next general election and subsequent ones.

Oh FFS. Transition, OP.

Please tell me you're joking and you knew we've only signed the paperwork but nothing has actually changed yet.

You did know that didn't you?

In other news, somebody started smoking last month and hasn't been diagnosed with a smoking related illness. Smoking is safe folks, the doctors have been lying to us.

Actually prices have risen despite this being a transition period my bread went up by 20p so I'm guessing bread is out now

Still apparently everyone is going to be forced to do care work now because if the gaps in the job market strangely the care home by me has maybe two people not born in the uk working there same at my doctors same at my dentist but maybe my town is anomalous or is it a case of exaggeration making headlines 🤔

Transition. Which we have because Johnson caved over NI and is hoping no one notices. Border in the sea.

Not true, I couldn’t find black beans in Sainsbury’s today - the end is nigh.

Seen a lot of this sentiment from brexiters which only confirms my suspicions that they really, really don't understand it or what they have voted for.

I never thought it would be dramatic, just a slow decline into a crippling recession. There's still plenty of time for that unfortunately

Surely you know OP it's a transition period? Confused
