Afternoon, all!

We're writing a page rounding up the best vegan Easter eggs and need your help. Are you a dab hand at finding the tastiest vegan chocolate? Do you have any recommendations for the perfect dairy-free egg? If so, let us know. Thanks!

I haven’t tried the egg but the NOMO advent calendar was amazing. Nicer than “normal” advent calendar choc, especially the salted caramel ones.

Holland and Barrett do a vegan “crème egg” which is nice enough but more dark chocolate and with a fairly thick, grainy filling so not very much like the original.

I bought my adult DD a Divine easter egg last year and she loved it. It is quite a grown up taste - 70% dark chocolate - but a nice treat for the adult vegan in your life. They do a cheaper raspberry and dark chocolate egg as well which my DD says is nice - and possibly more suitable for DC.

For little ones - Moo Free are cheap and cheerful and Holland and Barrett have a good selection (as well as little chocolate animals, buttons etc.)

Montezuma are good and they do 'milk' and dark chocolate ones, but they are very pricey.

There are some Bournville ones out this year that are 'accidently' vegan. Hotel Chocolat have some amazing vegan chocolate eggs and little bits. Moo Free is also nice and very inexpensive!

We're dairy free veggies rather than vegan but I think the ones I've looked at are vegan. I'll be hoping for a bag of Hotel Chocolat Gianduja eggs, I think, from what I've seen so far.

I did look for eggs made from Pacari Rose, Conscious Sour Cherry and Bendicks English Mint chocolate, so if any of those appear, they could sway me.

DC will probably get a Hotel Chocolate Dark Splat Egg from us and Moo Free from grandparents. They don't mind Moo Free, especially the flavoured and bunnycomb but I think it tastes a bit like cheap advent calender type chocolate.

Bourneville orange , available from B&M according to accidentally vegan on insta is my choice this year. I'm addicted to that stuff. Iceland also have the plain bournville one for £2 at the moment.

Tesco own brand ones are terrible - avoid!

Hotel chocolat do some but they are dark chocolate which isn't my thing (maybe they will have something different this year)

Booja booja do a fancy egg ornament thing with small truffle eggs in I think, which looks lovely but very expensive and small!

I think I'll get the Nomo one, their bars are really good!

I wonder if galaxy will do one now that they have vegan chocolate bars??

Apparently Aldi had amazing tasting dairy free eggs last year. I will be on the lookout this year for DD as we have discovered she is lactose intolerant so it’s dairy free chocolate for us all the way. I also imagine most supermarkets will do own brand ranges too as they do with Christmas selection boxes and advent calendars.

Nomo for sure, as are also soy free which my son is allergic to as well as dairy. Also, Rhythm 108 mini chocolate eggs were a huge hit In our house last year. Holland & Barrett have a “mini eggs” equivalent in Daisy & Dom brand (includes soy though).

Watching with interest! I don't like dark chocolate so am mourning not being able to have milk chocolate any more. It would be lovely to have a vegan friendly 'milk' version to try.

I've bought DS a Nomo one. He finds Hotel Chocolat and Divine too bitter.

Buttermilk ones at Sainsbury's (despite the name, they are vegan). They also do vegan hot cross bun flavoured fudge Confused

Accidentally vegan but the Lindt dark chocolate bunnies are lovely and creamy.

I've bought a vegan crème egg from Holland & Barrett but haven't tried it yet.

I would NOT recommend the Hotel Chocolat "free from" stuff, tastes like cardboard. Perhaps their vegan and/or dark chocolate (with other allergens still) is better.

I think I'll get a moo free egg for DS as he doesn't know the difference, but if I was buying for myself I'd be tempted by Nomo.

Best vegan creme egg by a country mile is from ConsiderIt Chocolate in Edinburgh.

The Bournville orange dark chocolate egg has such a high sugar content and low cocoa content that it could almost pass as milk chocolate.

Moo Free is one of the best brands if you want to try something different to plain old chocolate, but don’t want to splash out on the fancy stuff. Ive tried the sea salt and caramel, orange and honeycomb varieties and they all have a lovely taste without being too rich or heavy. I think the taste and texture are just like the real thing.

The Hotel Chocolat eggs are good if you want something nicely presented, if you like your chocolate rich and if you don’t mind paying a bit more. I found that as they were so rich, we took longer to eat them to and therefore they actually seemed quite cost-effective!

The vegan movement isn’t just about ditching dairy. For lots of use it’s also about choosing plastic-free and sustainable products too. In that respect, Montezuma and So Free are good. Personally though, So Free lack the luxurious taste some eggs manage to recreate.
